This house is located on Carmel Hill just west of Highway 1.
On the other side of Carmel Hill is of course Carmel and further down the coast, Big Sur. Located within walking distance of Whole Foods and the Del Monte Shopping Center our house is close to everywhere in the three town area of Monterey, Carmel, and Pacific Grove.Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula is only about 1 mile away.The wharf close to downtown is a long walk or very short drive, depending what you feel like doing.
As you head south on Rte 1 you pass the exit for Pacific Grove and Pebble Beach. Down the hill from the house, less than a mile away is downtown Monterey and not far beyond that Cannary Row and the world famous Monterey Aquarium.
The house itself is about 1700 square feet with a separate guest quarters that makes for a good party room when some want to sleep and others don't.
This is a great getaway house with a superb location.

Why the Owner Chose Monterey
Monterey is a great vacation spot. My house has been completely remodeled and set up to accommodate a lot of people. What I like best about living here is the general proximity to Carmel, Monterey, Pacific Grove and the entrance to Rte 1. I didn't originally buy this house as a vacation rental, but now that my kids are grown I don't need all of this room. I thought about renting the house out to a conventional tenant, and discovered the possibility of making it a vacation rental. The idea of being able to rent the house out and still have the option of staying here from time to time is more appealing to me, as I get to use it myself when it's vacant. I also like the fact that I don't have to move all of my furniture, which is a chore I'd just as soon avoid. I hope you will pay us a visit soon.
