Our extended family of 16 stayed last week at this home. It is beautifully appointed with plenty of room. The proximity to the beach was wonderful. The kitchen is great with plenty of room for many to be working. The photos were extremely accurate in the homes appearance. The owner personally handled my calls and texts due to the fact that we were travelling from NY in the middle of hurricane Irene. It was my mother-in-laws dream for her whole family and grandchildren to be together. This place was perfect! I would highly recommend this property!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Island Oasis is everything that was promised and more. Quiet, relaxing from sun up until sun down. Decks on both sides of the house and a screened in porch means you can always find a sunny or dry place to be outside. This family has a real jewel here and I hope I can continue to be included in their rental plan. Being so far south has many advantages. Shells were plentiful, water beautiful, dolphin watching from the deck. The pool is very large and well maintained. If you are looking for a great vacation get away this is your place. For the past 60 years, I have spent vacations at South Carolina beaches. The view of the Grand Strand from Island Oasis when we visited last January was the most magnificent I have ever experienced. This is an elegant and beautiful house with all the amenities for comfort and relaxation. It could not have provided a better setting for our spectacular vacation. I look forward to my next visit there.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

The view here was amazing. The house had a great beach in front of it for the grandkids to play, as well as a short walk to the wonderful pier for some exercise. The accomodations were great and comfortable with the living area being plenty for our family to sit and enjoy ourselves in.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

My family and I went for an extended weekend over the Christmas break and had an amazing time. The views are breath-taking and the house is full of amenities. This was the first Thanksgiving that my family had gone away together to spend the holiday. We were thrilled with the house we chose for our vacation! We had 6 adults and 4 teenagers and had plenty of room! The house is absolutely beautiful and we were very comfortable. The kitchen and living area are very open which made cooking for Thanksgiving very easy. We would only recommend that more glasses, coffee cups, pots, and pans be added to the kitchen for large gatherings. The bedrooms and baths are absolutely gorgeous, especially the master suite on the 3rd floor! LOVED it! Thank you to the rental company for making everything so smooth! We hope to stay in this home again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

About the owner: We are the Emblers and have been visiting Surfside/Garden City since we were children (and that's a long time ago!). My parents have been looking for a house in this area since they started coming here 50 years ago. We are not a professional property management team, so forgive us if we are casual. We would just like to be able to help other people enjoy the tranquility and family experiences we've grown to love here at the beach. We were blessed enough to be able to purchase this house in March of 2011 and would like to invite you to come down and enjoy our new house.
Why the Owner Chose Garden City Beach:
My parents have been vacationing here since they were children.My sister and I have been coming with them since we were born, 37 years ago in my case.We are now bringing a third generation with us(see picture) that loves the beach as much as we do. We love the area and enjoy the family atmosphere and tranquility of Garden City, while the attractions of Myrtle beach are only a few minutes away. Some of my fondest memories were made while on vacation here with my family.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
My mom and aunt love taking morning walks, and being exactly 1.0 mile from the Garden City Pier, it is a perfect walk for them. We have looked for almost 2 years for a house here and chose this one for many reasons, one of the biggest being the view. We have one of the best beach views on the Grand Strand. Hopefully, you can get a glimpse of what the view is like from the pictures I am putting up! One last little tradition we have that fits well here is sitting on the porch playing hearts or Rook in the evening while listening to the ocean and enjoying our family. We make great memories here and would be honored to play a small part in helping you make some great memories of your own.
