One aspect that stands out to me is that---no matter how well our website describes this property and no matter how i try to describe this property---EVERY GROUP arrives with a WOW!! eventually telling us that it is more than they ever thought it could be!
You enter the 30 acres from St Helena Hwy 29/ 128 onto our one lane road passing by our 12 acre regarded Caberent vineyard ( '08 & '09 are in barrel) where we will soon begin excavating our 15,000 sqft of caves and constructing our state of the art gravity-driven Joseph Cellars Winery. YOU are part of a Napa Valley Winery from the ground up.
The road passes through a vintage wrought iron gate and climbs up through the forested mountainside to the bright,sunny home which is apprx. 650ft above the valley floor offering panoramic views of the valley and of the eastern range..picture.. perfect..
The home is private, peaceful and finished in a comfortable, sophisticated style that invites you to kick off your shoes, drop your cares and hoist a glass of fine wine on the wraparound view decks, by the pool , in our new HOT SPRINGS 8 person Hot Tub, around the volcanic rock fire conversation "pit" or in the solarium by the giant cheerful kitchen that is planned and equipped for gourmet cooking and socializing.Cook Away!
This home was designed & built for groups and offers large,comfortable common areas but also private areas for personal space. There is an Eastern influence in the architectural simplicity featuring high vaulted ceilings and skylights thruout. A Feng Sui consultant was included in the design. Everywhere you look there is a view. We offer 5 bedrooms all with new Serta Mattress Sets (4 CalKings & 1 Queen),600 count bed linens, goose down comfortors & 4.5 baths fully stocked with quality amenities.. Two of the bedrooms are suites.
Our goal is allways to make long term friends who will return to visit, refer us to their friends and become part of our wine family as we progress along that path. The Napa Retreat property was purchased in mind to accommodate our family reunions, corporate gatherings and big enough to house our large families and friends.

The Napa Retreat property was purchased in mind to accommodate our family reunions, corporate gatherings and big enough to house our large families and friends.
We made a decision to pursue yet another dream and that was a wine county estate. After fifteen year of vacationing in the Napa Valley we did it; Just after the “SOLD” sign went up we began renovating, after doing it once we had it down pat, The remodel and staging of our Napa house was a blast, we had the help of family and friends from across the US help to get it done.
This property at the north end of the valley boasts 10+ acres of premium planted Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2008 vintage is in bottles '09 and 2010 in barrels. Joseph Cellars Winery is a 30,000 gallon winery bonded/licensed and construction is under way. From Hwy 29 and Diamond Mountain Rd look 600 ft to the hillside and you'll see the cave portals being tunneled. The building will shortly follow.

We reside in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, which is home of some of the greatest beaches in the world. We have two geographic loves: the sunny beaches of Florida and the wine country of Napa Valley.
Our first family retreat came in 2003 in the form a beach house, following the renovation it was named “Tropical Paradise”. This property is bordered by free growing sea oats, blue-green water, white sand and coconut palms. We can’t stop thinking about laying in that hammock and the sounds of Jimmy Buffet or Bob Marley playing in the back ground. By evening it time to talk a walk on the beach, everyone gathers to see what the sky has in store. Its mesmerizing the sunsets are big orange and fiery, the sounds of the waves just add to it. We sitting on the beach hours after sunset getting lost in the moment, totally relaxing. You have to experience it!
We can't be in two place at one time, so in 2007 we began renting and before we knew it we had hundreds of satisfied families spending their annual vacations with us. We loved staying in Quail Mountain retreat duing harvest season 2009. This was a magnificent time of year and was a great place to visit the area from during the time when our son was getting marrierd (in St. Helena) Ace and Joe were excellent hosts and wehad all our wishes fulfilled. The 5 day stay seemed like a royal vacation with the beautifully equipped home, pool and magnificent view. We have friends from North Carolina ( our home) visiting right now in mid July based on our recommendation. Calistoga is charming and very convenient and the wineries in the area are excellent. Can't wait til Ace gets his new winery on stream.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.
