This beautiful vacation home is wonderfully located on the thirteenth fairway of Canyon Country Club facing the spectacular San Jacinto Mountains. Picture yourself sipping your favorite drink on the 70 foot long loggia fronting the pool, spa and green expanse of the golf course. Canyon Country Club was started by Frank Sinatra and Bob Hope in the 1960’s and has become a PGA certified course known as Indian Canyons North. Just hop in the “Rolls Royce” golf cart for a short ride to the club house. The Palm Springs area also has an abundance of other challenging golf courses and is full of Hollywood history and glamour.
This Stan Sackley/Steve Chase designed home is nearly 3800 hundred feet of restful colors and relaxing comfort. You enter into the sheltered art courtyard and through eight foot high double steel carved doors. A solid wall of glass in the great room and dining room looks out to the loggia, pool, lawn and golf course. The twelve foot high ceilings create the perfect proportion for fabulous entertaining. Your friends can relax on the circular sofas, just perfect for before dinner conversation. A sunken wet bar seating six people in lounge chairs, complete with its own ice maker and refrigerator, separates the great room from the TV area and looks out to the pool and mountains.
The TV room boosts a wall hung 46” LCD television, gas fireplace and cozy L-shaped sofa. Every television in the house is a high definition flat screen with full premium cable service including all movie channels. A striking mirrored powder room is just off the entry. The Dining Room table seats eight with full mirrored wall which reflects the golf course and mountain views.
The kitchen is a cook’s delight with 5 burner gas range, stainless steel French door refrigerator and wine cooler. The kitchen is fully stocked with every needed appliance and cooking need when you don’t feel like enjoying the many great restaurants of downtown Palm Springs within a 5 minute drive from your front door. The breakfast nook area looks out to your wonderful mountain view with a slider to the outdoor natural gas grill. The slider from the kitchen and dining room are adjacent to a beautiful outdoor eating area with big table seating six or eight and comfy chairs. Another small 20” flat screen TV is the kitchen so you can see what the rest of world is doing while having your morning coffee and breakfast. The laundry room with washer and dryer and sink is off the back entry next to the kitchen.
If sun is your thing, you will be totally happy relaxing in one of the comfortable, wicker chaise lounges or club chairs on the patio surrounding the designer black-bottomed pool and spa. In the late afternoon watch the sun setting over the mountains as the cool evening breezes begin to blow across the golf course. Dine on your loggia with your guests and then, return to your patio and enjoy after dinner drinks by the light of the pool and the wonderful up-lit palm trees.
The home comfortably sleeps six people in its three bedrooms each with its own private bath. The master bedroom has a king size bed, comfortable reading chair and 40” flat screen TV with full cable and DVD player. The master has a large walk-in closet with built-in dresser and Hollywood style make up mirror and vanity. The master bath has two sinks with marble counter tops and a large separate shower and classic marble Jacuzzi tub overlooking a small garden area with peaceful fountain. Step through the sliding glass doors to your own private loggia with a comfy chaise lounge overlooking the spa.
The first guest room has a king size platform bed, comfortable chaise lounge, and a 40” Flat screen TV with DVD player. Another large walk-in closet with built-in dresser serves this private guest room that is as large as most master bedrooms. The guest room bath also has a separate tub and shower overlooking another small garden and fountain.
The third guest bedroom has a queen size platform bed, desk and 37” LCD TV. This room has its own bathroom with Tub/shower combination. The guest room opens to the entry courtyard with fountain. This room can serve as your office away from home with its own computer and printer/fax/copier with high speed wireless internet to serve your laptop computer. All local calls are free with an answering machine to catch those annoying calls while you are relaxing in the pool or spa.
The home is a short 10 minute ride from Palm Springs Airport. You will be only minutes from a shopping center with wonderful shops, gourmet grocery store and small restaurants. While there is plenty do in the Palm Springs area, just taking it easy is the favorite past time.

Canyon Estates, and particularly Caliente Rd, has beautiful mid-century homes with views of the mountains, golf course, and with interesting architecture. When we are there our cares seem to just go away while we enjoy the serenity and beauty of the area. We love to walk the neighborhood to take a look at the beautiful homes and landscaping. This is truly a special neighborhood and property.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home has a wonderful flow throughout it. The living room, dining room, bar with pass thru to the loggia, and secluded TV area are perfect for relaxing or entertaining. There is plenty of privacy for everyone who stays here. The covered outdoor loggia with dining table and outside sitting area has a spectacular view of the mountains across the golf course. It is a restful place to sit and let all your cares disappear.

After visiting Palm Desert for business and staying in various resorts for over 2 years, we found ourselves gravitating to the Palm Springs area. The neighborhoods were beautiful and well kept. We thought it would be more fun to have a home to entertain family and friends. Palm Springs had everything we wanted for a wonderful vacation...great restaurants, entertainment, special events like the film festival, and a really good museum.
