The apartment is on the first (in USA, the second) floor a building in the lovely quarter of Prati with a panoramic view of the Vaticano from the windows of the bedrooms. The building is a typical roman mansion block with elevator.

This location is perfect for those who want to reach by foot the Vatican Museums and Saint Peter’s or reach any other main sites by public transportation. The apartment is only 5 minute walk from the Vatican Museums and Saint Peter's. The Metro station line A (Ottaviano/San Pietro station) is just out side the building and it will take you in few minutes in Spanish Steps or Piazza del Popolo (the trendy and famous fashion district).

Around the building: restaurants, gelato, banks, supermarket, pharmacy, bars, souvenirs shop, tobacconist, travel agency. You will find a daily, open-air market within a short walking distance which offers fresh fruit and flowers along with local wares and crafts. The neighboring streets have a variety of stores, restaurants, pizzeria as well as beautiful residences.

The apartment can accommodate up to 6 people; newly re-furbished throughout with new bathrooms and kitchen with wooden floors and air conditioning in each room. Accommodation consists of living and dining room with a kitchen, a table with 6 chairs, TV/Satellite and air conditioning. Newly fitted kitchen with oven, gas hob, kettle, washing machine, fridge and freezer, dishwasher. There are two newly decorated bathrooms (both offer shower, washbasin, toilet, hair dryer and one bathroom offer also a bidet) and two bedrooms. Bedrooms have air conditioning, double-glazed windows (not only double panels) to guarantee a good night's sleep, comfortable beds (1 double bed -160 x 190 cm - and 1 single bed – 80 x 190 cm – for each bedroom), ample linens and bath towels. One of the two bedrooms offer free internet service and a computer, so guests don’t need to bring their own laptop or look for Internet cafes at odd hours to keep in touch with home.

Transportation from and to the airport can be organized. Driver will be out side the custom (no problem if your flight is not on time and run late) with the sign with your name and will take you directly to the apartment. Check in time at 12 p.m., check out on the day of departure at 10 a.m. (unless there is a different mutual agreement).

Rates include the cost of utilities (gas, A.C., electricity, heating, 24 hours hot water) and final cleaning.
No security deposit, no cleaning fee. Available May 1, 2009.

25% deposit is required upon booking. Balance will be paid at check in.

  • My family stayed in this place last June and you will not find a place as clean and well located in Rome.The rooms are nice and TWO BATHROOMS!But the best thing about all of this is Carla, she was very nice and would help you find anything. Ciao Carla!

  • We stayed at Carla's apartment in Oct.2009.What a wonderful experience,the location is perfect!It is only a short walk to the Vatican and many restaurants and stores.Carla was extremely helpful throughout the planning of our dream vacation.She even greeted us upon our arrival and gave us a map on which she highlighted points of interest.I would stay again if I ever get back to Rome

  • We were the first guests to occupy the flat after the updating/remodeling. What a charming spot! The flat was so convenient and bright; it was a great "home away from home" during our visit to Italy. The location is in the heart of the Vatican, but far enough away that you can escape the crowds and noise for a short rest when you need a little break. Carla is so charming and accommodating...thank you for being part of a wonderful memory!

  • This is a great flat in a great part of Rome. It was clean, bright, comfortable and the 3 air conditioners can keep it very cool. Carla was great help. There are great restaurants, Bars, Grocery stores and shops right out the door. The windows keep this place quiet at all times. I will stay in this flat again if we ever get back to Rome. One Block to the Metro stop and 3 blocks from the Vatican. No place can be any more convenient than this flat.

  • Anyone planning a stay in Rome should seriously consider this wonderful flat. It is completely modern, has great access to the metro system and tons of sites within walking distance. Our host Carla was fantastic in every way and you will not be disappointed renting this property.

  • Our stay at Carla's apartment/flat was awesome! We stayed with our adult children (15, 19 and 21). The place is very clean, and recently remodeled/furnished. One concern I had was the noise from the street below, however, the quality of windows is excellent and when closed you could not hear the traffic/noise at all! Carla was very helpful with recommendations of restaurants and other information as well. She arranged for our transportation from the airport, which was very helpful after arriving from an overnight flight. We typically started our day with a Cappuccino in the little cafe below the apartment and then headed out to see Rome. The location of the flat was perfect as well, it is located just about a block and a half to the Vatican City entrance. We walked everywhere from the apartment, even down to Via Del Corso, the famous street for shopping in Rome and the Colosseum/ruins. If walking is not your thing, the train stop is just about a half a block from the apartment. This apartment was an excellent value, not a whole lot of space, but much better than 2 hotel rooms for our family. I would highly recommend this apartment for your Rome vacation!

  • This is a magnificent apartment. Approximately 2 blocks from the Vatican. The subway stop is just around the corner and easy access to get to anywhere in Rome. Apartment is very clean and well managed.Below the apartment is a wonderful cafe( coffee shop) where we would have breakfast every morning. Great Cappuccinos! 3-4 Blocks away is the most magnificent indoor Farmer's market open everyday until 2 pm. We would go in the morning and get our food for lunch and dinner and of course we also purchased wine there. The bedrooms are nice and it is a wonderful place to come back to at the end of a long day touring Rome. Carla is wonderful. She helped book our visit into The Borghese Gallery. She gave us all the information to get around Rome and told us times for visiting the Vatican. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will come back to this same apartment next time we visit.
