If you're looking for the best overall skiing in southwest Colorado, there is no place better than Durango Mountain Resort (Purgatory). Our ski home is located at the base of the mountain, just a few steps from the high-speed Quad lift that gets your ski day underway. The unit is part of the Angelhaus complex, which is all privately owned / rented.
Our ski condo is a 2 BR/2 Full BA unit with a full kitchen, FR (with a pull-out sofa bed) with a beautiful Fireplace, 3 satellite TVs (in each BR and the FR flat panel) and high-speed internet connection and local phone service.
We welcome families and other adult couples. Our unit is limited to 4 adults or 2 adults with 3 children. No pets allowed -- sorry. All units at Angelhaus are non-smoking.

Angelhaus is an older and more modest condo among many luxury condos in this up-scale ski resort. We had fun in Durango, Silverton (by train), Mesa Verde, and Ouray (by scary road over beautiful mountains). The unit itself has the basic equipment and furnishing. If you are fussy about the quality of such things, this one is not for you. The price is right. The staff was friendly, responsive, and helpful. We'd come again.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
