My husband and I took a much needed vacation to Maine and stayed in this wonderful home in Prospect Harbor. The house was cozy and comfortable and was right on the ocean which was perfect for us. We sat on the chairs out front and looked out at the ocean. At night we would sit out and watch the moon reflecting on the ocean and listen to the sound of the water. The beds are comfy and we both slept like rocks. A section of Acadia National Park is nearby and we drove through it, stopping along the way, nearly every day. There are several cute towns nearby including, of course, Bar Harbor. Be sure to have some Lobster delivered while you are there. It's so good when you cook it yourself and with a fully-equipped kitchen, it's simple. We will be back!!

What a fantastic vacation spot for summer weary Texans! The home is located in a serene area with the chirping of birds and the music of the ocean at your door. We enjoyed hikes in Acadia, sailing in the harbor, whale watching, reading time in the hammock, taking in the beautiful landscape of Maine and the short drive over to Canada. This home is sweet. Very clean and the beds were more comfortable than at home. The owners have taken every consideration to try to make our stay welcoming and comfortable. They were a joy to do business with and followed through on their commitments, and were so very warm it felt like talking to an old friend. The descriptions and pictures provided are accurate – so there are no surprises when you arrive. Anything I forgot to pack was provided (laundry soap, a hair dryer, books, towels, and board games). We enjoyed our time at the house as much as we enjoyed visiting the surrounding area, because of the secluded feeling of the area you are forced to relax and unwind. A fast paced vacation is nice but a change was welcomed and this was definitely a great vacation spot - we truly loved it. We hope to visit again soon. Thank you for your hospitality.
