A wonderful spacious, light filled apartment in the heart of St Germain near the famous old church.

The property is in the heart of historic St Germain, close to boutiques, restaurants and cafes like “Les Deux Magots” on Bd St Germain. Walking distance to the two islands, Ile St Louis and Notre Dame and Ile de la Cite with its flower market, the Louvre, rue de Rennes and its boutiques.

The flat is a haven of peace located on the 4th and last floor (walk-up) of a typical St Germain old and beautiful building. Walk through the grand wooden doors made for horse-drawn carriages from rue Jacob and enter a peaceful garden courtyard. The building where the apartment is located is off the street and each floor has only one apartment so being on the top floor you have no noise whatsoever from neighbors.

From this vantage point you have open skies, beautiful Parisian rooftops and lovely surrounding buildings. The outlook on east and west means the sun pours in at different times of day in different parts of the apartment.

With its open yet separated quarters the apartment is perfect for sharing. There is a long dining table in the dining quarters where 6-8 can dine. Followed by a large living room with sofa and armchairs, a semi open plan kitchen filled with a large selection of Gaggeneau, Miele and other top quality appliances and everything a cook might need. Clean un-broken lines, soft touch push out drawers, large fridge, freezer, proper oven, microwave and a long work surface.

The master bedroom contains a queen size bed has a desk with Imac flat screen computer which the owner has provided for guests to use. The master bedroom can be reached from he living room or from the kitchen and first bathroom.

The second bedroom with 2 single beds can be reached either via bathrooms 1 and 2 or from the master bedroom.

The bathroom is a spa like space, complete with glass frosted sliding doors and is composed of part one : 2 sinks dark wood surfaces, and a large bath. Another frosted sliding door leads to the second part of the bathroom where there is a small sink and a large walk-in shower with massive shower head. This part of the bathroom leads to the second bedroom so both bedrooms have direct access to their half of the bathroom.

The wc is separate and off the kitchen or the bathroom.

In the heart of St Germain des Pres just near the St Germain church, local restaurants, cafes like "Les Deux Magots", "Brasserie Lipp" and the "Cafe de Flore". Walking distance to Latin Quarter, Musee D'Orsay, Ile St Louis, Notre Dame, Ile de la Cite. One of the most well know museums in the world is also within walking disance: Musee du Louvre!

  • My family of four stayed at the Rue Jacob apartment for a week in October, 2009. It is a beautiful apartment, ideally situated on a quiet street in St. Germain des Pres. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and cozy. The agent, Shelly, couldn't have been nicer. I definitely plan on staying there again, the next time I'm in Paris. Thank you very much for helping to make our Paris vacation so wonderful!

  • I stayed in this apartment with my family of five in August 2009. We loved the juxtaposition of old and new. The old structure and beams that we were looking for in a city much older than our own. Yet a surprisingly modern feel with a large bathroom and sleek, up-to-date kitchen. This apartment is well appointed, with comfortable beds and a nice long dining table for meals at home. (The organic green market on nearby rue Raspail is a favorite.) Entrance into this apartment makes if feel quite special. The large old cart doors, the court yard, and the winding climb up to the apartment. Believe it or not, we loved climbing the 90 steps up to this apartment! It is a quiet refuge with wonderful views of the surrounding rooftops. Certainly St. Germain des Pres is a desirable neighborhood, and we had a very positive experience with Paris Rental Connections. Shelly from the agency warmly greeted us upon arrival and explained how to use all the appliances. She also offered many useful recommendations for our vacation and while we never needed to contact her, it was reassuring to know that we could if we found ourselves in a bind. We hope to return to this apartment again. Even my children (7, 9, 11) continue to talk about the apartment on rue Jacob -- with Ladurée on the corner. We highly recommend this apartment.

  • My family and I stayed at the Rue Jacob apartment in July, 2009 and had a wonderful experience. The apartment is clean, quiet, and in the best location of Paris. We walked everywhere; even came home with extra Metro tickets. You feel like you are one of the Parisians! The welcome is great and sets you up for the perfect vacation in Paris! I'd go back again and again!!! Judy K.
