We purchased this beautiful condo in 1992 and have made many updates and replace furniture since that time. My family and I have spent some of the best times of our lives at this condo. We love the beach and all types’ water sports. The little grandchildren love to spend the mornings playing in the sand and water. After their naps in the afternoon we take them down to the edge of the Pinnacle Port property where Lake Powell flows in to the gulf to catch hermit crabs. This is a fun thing for all ages to do, but children and even teens have fun with these hermit crabs. Then there is also the art of catching the blue crabs. You need to be fast to run after and finally catch a crab. There are nets provided with the condo rental. There is also a large pot to cook the crabs if want. The rainy days can be fun too. These are the days when we swim in the indoor pool, (if it is not thundering and lighting about). There are games and cards left in the condo for use also. But...if you are totally bored, the movie theater in nearby at Pier Park. Pier Park is new and has the latest movies. Or this could be a good time to cook up a batch of cookies to take to the beach when the sun comes back out. For teens and young children, there are near-by parks with rides, go-carts, miniature golf and all sorts of entertainment. The teens from Pinnacle Port and Carillon Beach like to gather on the beach and around the Pinnacle Port pool for "teen talk". Also included on Thursday nights is Movie Night by the pool. Family movies are shown for the enjoyment of all.
Why the Owner Chose Pinnacle Port
When we decided to buy a condo along the Gulf, we started looking at Gulf Shores, Alabama and traveled all along the gulf from there past Mexico Beach, Florida. We finally decided on Panama City Beach because of all the attractions for our children and grandchildren and the wonderful restaurants that we just feel in love with. Then we started looking at which condo in Panama City Beach to buy. We chose Pinnacle Port because of its privacy. We liked the idea of having a guard on duty 24 hours a day, every day. This gave us a much more secure feeling for ourselves and our family. With Pinnacle Port being on a peninsula with the gulf on one side and Lake Powell on the other, it gave us the best of two worlds. When we get tired of the salty water, we have the fresh water from Lake Powell for fishing and crabbing. It is just so peaceful sitting in the swings and gazebo and enjoying the view of Lake Powell. Then there are the two pools for swimming. Even in the winter we go down and swim in the heated pool. The Pinnacle Port Community Association takes great pride in providing a beautiful landscape to add to our enjoyment. I don't know of any other community I would rather live in. Our renters have commented on how beautiful the area is and how much they enjoy staying there and I hope you do too..
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
Carillon Beach is adjacent to Pinnacle Port within the gated community. Free concerts called, "Groovin’ on the Green" are held every Monday night in Downtown Carillon. Other offerings on site are: Hava Java Coffee Café, Shipwreck, LTD., and others to open summer of 2009. If you are ever there on Sunday's, there is church service at the Meeting House at Carillon Beach. It is so "cool", my grandchildren would say, to go to church and be able to watch the birds and water behind where the preacher is giving his sermon. The preacher is a retired Air Force Chaplain and has such interesting topics for his sermons. He always ends the service with sing "America" and encourages each person to ring the big church bell as we leave. The entire service only last about 40 minutes and well worth your time to go. We furnish places to shop and things to do with the Rental Key Package. There is a Publix and Winn Dixie Super Market across HWY 98 from Pinnacle Port. The package also contains a list of favorite restaurants and places to see. Among our favorites are Dusty's Oyster bar (best fried shrimp and crab claws on the beach) and the internationally known Captain Anderson's and more. These restaurants are all within a short drive. Location: There are many new restaurants at the new Pier Park shopping center. Restaurants include Jimmy Buffet's Margaretville, Red Brick Pizza Oven, The Back Porch, Long Horn Steakhouse, and Pan era Bread Company. All along the beach there are fantastic restaurants featuring the best the gulf has to offer.
