Our family of 7 (2 adults, 1 young adult, 4 teenagers) had a wonderful time at Chalet #812 this past weekend. We only stayed 2 nights, but we packed a lot into the time we were there. We went to the pool and had our lunch brought to us poolside (great burgers, BBQ pork sandwiches and homemade potato chips), we swam and went floating on the lake, went boating (rented the electric pontoon for $100 extra), canoeing (included with our rental), played tennis and shuffleboard (located near the pool), worked out in the fitness room (also by the pool), hiked one of the trails to a beautiful waterfall (and saw a huge snapping turtle!), made a fire in the firepit by the lake and made s'mores, and then ended our last evening with a bunch of board games (located inside the great room coffee table) at the kitchen table. All of our meals (except that first lunch by the pool) were big ones cooked in the kitchen or on the very nice grill on the deck. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to prepare just about anything (seasonings, spices, olive oil, vinegar, non-stick spray, lots of pots and pans, foil, saran wrap, baggies, etc.) Usually we "make do" with what is available, but this house had it all handy and ready to use. There's lots of room to park, plenty of seating by the lake and on the deck. There's room for 6 (we squeezed in 1 more) at the kitchen table and a screened in porch for cooler mornings or evenings. There was a concert on Saturday night, but we were too busy to go! I recommend spending more than 2 nights to get it all in! Thanks for sharing your house with us! We had a great weekend!
Owner response:Wow, you guys did more in two days than I've done all summer. Thank you so much for sharing your experience on our website. We look forward to having you back again soon!

We are in the process of remodeling our home, and scheduled our visit to the chalet right in the middle of the project. We were frazzled and stressed from the noise, dirt, and chaos of the remodel and arrived on a cool Friday afternoon to the bliss and peace of your wonderful vacation home. The place is so clean and bright, and everything we needed was at our fingertips - from tissues to fluffy towels, games to garlic salt, maps to measuring cups. Even though we were only there for the weekend, we enjoyed everything the chalet had to offer: the canoe, the private pebble beach (wonderful fire pit!), the golf course restaurant (the fried chicken is excellent), the wrap-around porch, the fully-equipped kitchen, and the satellite TV (NCAA playoffs!). The king bed is luxurious; we felt so pampered! Our chocolate Labrador also thoroughly enjoyed his visit - he's a city dog so he enjoyed getting to sniff all of the wilderness smells, swim off of the beach, and generally romp around in the woods. Even the cool weather didn't dampen our experience. We enjoyed a loud thunderstorm that rolled in over the lake on Saturday night, and watched the lightning flash above the huge glass windows. We were warm and cozy inside and didn't mind the storm one bit. The next day was sunny and warmer, and my husband caught at least 10 large-mouth bass off of the dock. Next time we'll try for crappie! We came home rested, relaxed and ready to face the world again. We hope to come back again and again and have already told all of our friends and family about this wonderful place! Thanks for everything.
Owner response:What a nice review to kick off our 2011 season. Thank you for all the kind words, and thank you for mentioning the satellite TV - That is new this year!

The chalet is exactly as depicted, with hospitable touches that made us feel genuinely welcomed. They even supplied a pie plate and rolling pin so we could make apple pie! The chalet is tucked into the trees, private, peaceful, and the perfect place for our ladies retreat. We ate meals on the deck when it was warm, and gathered around the wood stove to talk and play games from the game chest when it was cool. We could see the Milky Way at night! We also saw a bald eagle, flock of bluebirds, flock of cedar waxwings, a pileated woodpecker, and other interesting birds. My friends from Virginia were impressed.
Owner response:Thank you for the wonderful review. There have been numerous sightings of bald eagles at Innsbrook, and we believe one must be nesting near our Chalet because it's often seen there. Thank you for the pie crust recipe!! We look forward to having you back soon.

We arrived for our week in the autumn time of year. The chalet is exactly as described, but cannot tell you about the charm and coziness of the home and the area and the helpful (but not hovering) owners. Every whim is attended to, every condiment available, and touches of home all around. The security of Innsbrook is both friendly, but reassuring, so wonderful walks can be enjoyed at any time. It is a place that makes your anxieties dissipate, and they did quickly.
Owner response:Nina, a very talented artist, left us a beautiful drawing of a leaf in our guest book. We really treasure that, and have it framed for all to see. Thank you Nina!

My husband and I stayed four weekday nights in the beginning of October. All directions to the chalet made it easy to find and easy to enter. Upon entering we immediately felt at home. Everything you need was there and were obviously welcomed to use it. Some places we have stayed have put little signs around saying "don't do this" "don't touch that" but NOT at this Chalet! Here there were notes of where-to-find-what to make your stay comfortable and welcoming. Very clean, best of everything - great master bed, thick towels, Kitchen-aid pans & utensils. It was a combination of being in the wilderness but all the comforts of home. We've considered buying a vacation property ourselves but now we don't have to -- we can go to this chalet whenever we want (if it's available). HIGHLY Recommend!

My sister and I were there in September '11. Though the lake was low from the summers drought, we could not have been happier. We both had our dogs who enjoyed themselves as much as we did. We both were amazed how stocked the chalet was.Everything you need. Everything! And the owners could not have been nicer. Our trip was only for a long weekend and we have already been talking about our next trip. Thank you!

Hello-my name is Sue Bremer, Mike's Lady. I was overjoyed with my experience at Innsbrook #812! The description and appearance of the Chalet were accurate and the place was immaculate. Diane was more than helpful every step of the way, making our stay relaxing as well as providing for all of our needs. I will recomend, with sincerity and gusto, the Innsbrook community and Chalet #812 to all of my friends and family members. I know that Mike and Maryjane feel the same. We are planning on returning a second time--SOON!! There is so much to do in Innsbrook! I recommend the horse back riding, boating and swimming at the lake, and plain old relaxing in Diane and Eric's lovely home. We did not have the time to take advantage of the pool and work-out room, but after seeing these areas, we wished we had had. another few days to do so.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very neat, clean, and well stocked . Very quiet and peaceful but the convenience of the pool, exercise room, tennis courts and golf course provided other opportunities. Great selection of DVDs but we couldn't get any TV channels. Wonderful outside deck that was gated off at both ends so our dogs could be outside without being tied up. The showers had great pressure, but were quite small. Would recommend bringing your own food along and not plan on picking it up at the local (7 miles) store-limited selection. Food at the golf course grill was very good, but that was the only available place for take-out and they were closed on Monday however their website stated they were available for dining 7 days/week. Would recommend this condo for a quiet and relaxing getaway.
Owner response:We have added Satelite TV and a 52-inch screen in 2011. The trees made it difficult to get reception in years past, but we found a great dish installer who could make it work. It's fair to point out that Hannaken's Restaurant is not open every day of the week, especially during the off season. It's important to check their hours. I don't think their website says they are open 7 days a week, however I'm sorry about the confusion.

I can't say enough nice things about this chalet and the property owners...but I'll try. -Great DVD/movie collection awaits you. -Great floor plan with private bedrooms for those who must retire early, and pleanty of deck/living room/porch space for the late night crowd. -The boat is awesome! -Everything is in great condition, the owners obviously take great care in maintaining the chalet and grounds. -The laminate flooring is great; cleans up easy so we didn't feel nervous about tracking sand or a little dust into the chalet. We hope to rent this chalet at least once every Summer!

Thank you so much for a lovely weekend. We immediately felt at home in the chalet and loved the private dock and beautiful deck. The bedrooms were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for our family of five. We plan to return. You provided a retreat where every detail was addressed. It was the most relaxing trip we've had in a very long time. Thank you for sharing your chalet with us.

My husband and I had a really relaxing weekend at your chalet. We love Innsbrook and your chalet was conveniently located to the lodge yet far enough away to offer privacy. Your rental was immaculate and well-maintained. We would recommend your property to anyone seeking a vacation home with lovely amenities and a fabulous view. We would have liked to have stayed longer and we hope to return soon.

Our family spent 3 wonderful days at this chalet in October (2 grandparents, 2 parents and one 12 year old boy plus our beagle Belle). It was the perfect setting. We had bonfires at the lake's edge and enjoyed canoe rides on beautiful Lake Aspen. We fished and read and relaxed. The house has the best of everything and is immaculate. The well stocked pantry allowed us to make a french toast breakfast on the fly -- they had cinnamon and vanilla on hand! We will definitely return.

Dear Moyermans, Like everyone before us my husband and I had a wonderful time. Jim had a great and relaxing time fishing from your dock - he caught nearly 30 bass! - (he really thinks fish fear him now). Our dog couldn't get enough swimming done! Your chalet is beautiful and more welcoming than we imagined. We hope to return next year.

Dear Moyermans We just returned home yesterday from our vacation at your Chalet. I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had. Steve and I had the place to ourselves until late Thursday evening. What a peaceful retreat you have, yet with so much so close. We spent hours reading, playing games, relaxing and generally enjoying every aspect of your property. You have thought of and provided just about everything that any guest could possibly need. With the warm weather the pool was very refreshing. Our dogs of course enjoyed their evening walks before we settled in for a movie. With the kids arriving for the long weekend we had even more fun. Fishing, canoeing, and swimming at the pool, all part of our days. The boys even went golfing. Pontooning to the middle of the lake and swimming off the boat was great fun (especially Saturday when it felt like 101). Your very well stocked kitchen made meals a breeze. It was so nice to have all the pots, pans, baking dishes, not to mention dishes and utensils..at my fingertips (family meals are an important part of our get togethers). Our evenings down at the fire pit with s'mores for dessert was the perfect way to end our days. Thank you again for opening up your Chalet for the rest of us to enjoy. Guess it's back to reality now. The Rubys

Dear Moyermans, Thank you for sharing your home with us this week. We found everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as our home...but more peaceful and relaxing in this secluded atmosphere. We filled our days reading on the deck, relaxing, game playing, boating, swimming and more relaxing. Our kids joined us for a long weekend. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us here (and can't forget the pups too.) With the kids we enjoyed our family meals (your kitchen has just about everything any cook could need to make a great meal, thanks) which we don't do often because of the distance. The pontoon boat was a lot of fun and of course one of our favorite things to do was end our evenings with a campfire and s'mores. Thank you again for opening up your home to us for our annual family get-together.

Dear Moyermans: What a comfortable, attractive and well-equipped chalet! We had a wonderful time at the beach and pool and enjoyed our s'mores by the fire down by the water. My grandchildren love your movie collection :), and we all loved the party lights on the porch. This is such a fun place; thank you for sharing it with guests. Happy Summer!

Thank you for opening up your sweet lakeside home to us, Moyerman family! We had fun boating, fishing, swimming, horse back riding, golfing, hiking, biking, shopping and relaxing and reading. This is a very clean home with the amenities we hoped for. We hope to rent from you again in the future! Our entire family had a very memorable vacation. Thanks again, The Browning Family. :)

What a wonderful, relaxing weekend! Our dog Lacey loved it too - esp. the wrap around deck. The beach was great, spent lots of time taking in nature - watching birds, fishing, canoeing, loved the sights, sounds, smells! Anything and everything we'd need was here! (Except a "Freeze Time" machine!) The accommadations exceeded our expectations - comfortable, clean, cheery. Ceiling fans in every room kept us cool and fresh. The movie collection is awesome, although this visit we mostly enjoyed the beach and dock. But...if we'd gotten rained-in... we'd be happy too! Thanks for providing such a lovely and pet-friendly place! Our pets deserve a vacation too! We will be back for sure as your home offered us everything we'd want! (Next time we're bringing our binoculars and bird ID book!) All our thanks, Susan, Terri and Lacey.

These are some of the Highlights from our 2009 guestbook that we leave at the chalet.... Dear Moyermans: We had an absolutely wonderful time! The house was comfortable and the setting ideal. We went on walks, took the boat out for "sunset cruises", swam at the beach and spent time together with friends and family. You seem to have a special talent for anticipating your guests' needs; anything and everything is here. The kids watched a movie (what a great collection!) while my husband and I enjoyed a little quiet time with a glass of wine on the porch (the lights are so fun!) The kitchen is perfectly equipped...I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed your home. We can't wait to come back. Thanks for a great holiday weekend. All the best, Jill and Bruce. p.s. We enjoyed the games. Our 8-year-old discovered Monopoly and is now hooked!
