We rent private vacation homes often and we highly recommend this condo. We found it to be clean and exactly as it is described. Elizabeth is true to her word and is very helpful. We hope to stay here again.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, tourists without a car.

Our family spent a week at La Playa Del Rey in August 2011 and we had a great time. 3 adults and 2 children stayed the 5 first nights, then, a 4th adult joined for the rest of the vacations. The apartment is: - 20 minutes from the beach by walk (count 25 on the way back as there is a hill all the way) - If you like to walk and no young children, then access is easy to the beach, with children it is more convenient to access the beach by car - Playa Del Rey beach is nice and clean. - Not too much to do around the area. Car needed - 20 minutes from Santa Monica - 40 minutes from Holliwood bld and touristic areas - 1 hour from Disney - Condominium is of a comfortable size. Not small, not big either. - Carpet needed a deep cleaning - The main room is quiet dark though. The light is blocked by the outside terraces which does not provide the room with too much light - Beds are comfortable. One king size in the master, one full in the secondary room. - No door between master bathroom and master bedroom –to be consider if you plan on having a child sleeping in the master room with the parents. - In general the furniture were not in very good shape. Some of the chairs in the main room were broken which can be dangerous for children - Apartment is crowded. A lot of furniture for not too much space. It would be probably a good idea to take away a few un-useful such as the piano next the dining table. - No curtains in secondary bedroom - Not too much space to put clothes away as closets are occupied by owner’s things. - Very quiet area - The 2 pools are convenient - TVs worked fine either in master and in main room - Enough space in master bedroom for a pack-and-play bed - The laundry room was great and clean, not in the building - Enough plates, dishes etc for everyone - Dish washer in kitchen - Oven, microwave and stove worked well - Owner left beach towels and toys for the children which was very convenient - Parking/Garage for the car - Owner was very nice, accommodating and helpful!
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

I stayed here with my friends on our summer break from professional school. The condo was very clean, perfect location, spacious and well equipped for all our summer fun! We BBQ'd in the outdoor grill, walked to the beach every morning and relaxed by the pool during the day. I hope to stay here again next year!
