Loved our island home

My husband, son and daughter-in-law, daughter and son-in-law had the wonderful opportunity to stay at this beautiful island home on Kauai. It is in a great location on the island. The layout of the home was great for couples, lots of privacy and the kitchen/dining/living room were very roomy and great for hanging after a hard day at the beach. The pool was wonderful. At night when all the stars were out and the palms were swaying I can't think of a nicer place to take a quick dip just before bed. The separate master suite with the outside shower was my favorite. Becasue we were there 15 nights, we rotated rooms every 5 night so everyone had the opportunity to enjoy all the rooms. It rooms had something special to offer. The garage was loaded with all kinds of island toys. Beach chairs, snorkels and fins, pool toys and so on. We loved grill by the pool at night for a wonderful dinner amd family. Each night every one in our groups would share their most special moment of the day. Everyone had something different to say. I really loved that each night. The neighborhood is quiet and close to the Princeville shopping center. If you need something quick from the store, or perhaps have a sweet tooth for some Lappert's ice cream, you are in luck. I would highly recommend to anyone considering visiting the paradise island of Kauai to rent this lovely island home. The listing was as exactly descript as noted on VRBO. The photos don't do the house justice. The home was clean and well maintained. The owner was great to work with. There are so many incredible things to do on Kauai, everyone will leave with cherished memories. Mahalo Nui Loa, to the family of this wonderful island hale.

We enjoyed everything about this fabulous home during our month long stay, the pool, the bikes, the exquisite bedding and towels, the wonderful peaceful and quiet location, even the friendly neighbors and how about fresh Avocados and Oranges too. The kitchen is just fabulous and the washer and dryer make vacation life a whole lot easier. Did I mention the pool - we just loved it and 50 feet long - plenty of room for a family to play and/or swim laps at your option. The cabana was the perfect room for a brother who appreciated a little quiet time from the little ones now and then. The kid bikes and adult bikes were just great. Princeville is a stunning location - nears beaches and resorts - plenty of places to play - and the wide screen TV was great for footballs games and those couple days when it did rain on us. But that is what makes Kauai so perfect and green - no regrets. This was our home for our 40th wedding anniversary - you could not find a nicer place to take your family for a special event or just to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We highly recommend this home for YOUR family vacation.

Wonderful Vacation Home

My husband and I stayed here for 11 nights this October, 2010 [writing this on our last full day here, before we leave tomorrow]. The owners have really done a great job with this home. It's really lovely. *Everything* that anyone would need for their vacaion is here; very well appointed. For those who like 'memory foam' beds, it's heaven. The lap pool is a *huge* plus, and really made a difference for us as it pertained to relaxing here on the North Shore, where the weather can sometimes be precarious, and the surf may be too high for swimming. The location of this place is PERFECT. Princeville Center is *very* close by, and the short drive into Hanalei is STUNNING. At first we were hesitant to stay here on the North Shore, but after spending significant time on 3 of the 4 sides of the island, we were *more* than happy that we decided at Hale Emmalani. This is *by far* the best location on the island, not to mention the best 'bang for your buck'. Located in Princeville [an airport employee called this neighborhood the "Beverly Hills of the island"] one would not think of a property here as a good 'value'. Rather, one would think of this property as 'luxurious', and it *is*, but it's also a tremendous value. Hale Emmalani makes for a luxurious experience, without being pretentious.... Perfect. We would love to come back before too much time passes. We fell in love with Kauai, the people, the aloha, the relaxing vibe, the tranquility of this home and this beautiful, beautiful island. One last thing; We were members of RCI for years, owning a timeshare and staying in timeshares all over the World. We've also used VRBO a few times now, and want to say that this was *by far* the nicest home [timeshare or vacation home] that we've stayed in. Heads and tails above the rest. Peace and Aloha

An amazing experience

Spacious, inviting, tranquil, comfortable...just a select few descriptions you can apply to this beautiful vacation home. Situated in a quiet neighborhood on a corner lot, Hale Emmalani was a wonderful respite after traveling in the cramped fuselage of a Boeing. Here we could stretch out and melt into our environment with our only concerns each morning being which beaches to visit and where to enjoy our meals. Meticulous hardwood flooring and matching shutters gave our temporary home a quaint feel which belied the modern conveniences of the kitchen, bathrooms and backyard. The jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom took up half the available space in there but could easily fit a quartet of people while the guest bathroom was attractively adorned with a unique counter design. Although the property was devoid of air conditioning, the abundance of overhead fans and the way the house was situated with its windows kept a constant cool breeze blowing. The "cabana" unit is nearly a self-contained studio apartment which was perfect for privacy or a lazy afternoon nap. However the centerpiece of the house is the lap pool...I swear the majority of the time we spent actually at the house was in the pool. It is a perfect accoutrement when waking up to a view of distant waterfalls amongst the mountain clouds then to slide right into liquid serenity before begining another day of fun and relaxation on Kauai. When the sun begins to dip into the horizon, we simply made our way back home (with a quick stop at the literally adjacent Foodland supermarket for supplies) to continue our aquatic activities then fire up the sizable gas grill for our dining pleasure. All in all, our trip to Kauai was absolutely amazing and staying here contributed to that greatly. Notes -Booking the our vacation was easy with Cara and she was very helpful in answering any questions I had. -The starting point for the hike to Queen's Bath is literally 5 mins away from the house. -The pool toys in the garage are great for goofing around in the pool.

What a great home for a vacation! We love north shore Kauai and this house is perfectly situated - close to Hanalei, beaches, great hiking. Hale Emmalani is beautifully decorated to get you in the mood for island living. Everything you'll need is here. Want to pick up a few things from the store? Hop on one of the bikes. Want to go snorkeling at Annini or Tunnels? Snorkels, masks and beach chairs are all waiting here for you. Plan a picnic--what you need ia already here. The kitchen is great for preparing meals for friends and family while keeping you in the action. The private guest suite is perfect for company and the outdoor shower is convenient for after the beach. And if you have to combine work with pleasure during your stay here - as I did - you'll be happy to know that the wireless connection was great and there is a printer here in case you need it. The only problem is that you'll never want to leave.
