  I wanted you to know how much we enjoyed your apartment and our time in Barcelona. We packed in everything we could. It was too short. What a wonderful city. We did go to your favorite tapas bar and had a memorable evening. The food was amazing and our waiter so charming. We have been eating tapas but nothing as wonderful as our night at your recommended restaurant. Thank you for your generous hospitality. If I live long enough I will come back to Barcelona.   We visited Barcelona between Palm Sunday and Easter. It was earlier than the usual tourist season and a delightful time to visit. Even when rain was predicted, it was limited to sprinkles for short periods during the day. The apartment was perfect for our three family members, with the two bedrooms allowing a break from one another after long days of walking the city. The amenities in the apartment made for a pleasant retreat at the end of each day and an easy breakfast at the start. The apartment owner, Dolores, was the greatest asset; she ensured a wonderful experience because she provided so much practical information about using public transportation, when to get tickets in advance and how to avoid long waits in line. She showed us the neighborhoods and the hidden gems that we might have missed were it not for her knowledge and love of her city. Everything in the apartment functioned nicely and we did not experience any significant problems with noise.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

  Three of us, all 60 +, very much enjoyed our seven day stay at Delores’ apartment. To repeat what other reviewers have said, Dolores is an excellent host and loves her Barcelona. The location is perfect. And the apartment was well equipped.

  We are a family that has traveled extensively in Europe and have rented a lot of apartments. We have to say we are most satisfied with Dolores's apartment. She was a kind hostess that made us feel welcome even before we got there. We had all the comforts of home in foreign city. We felt safe in the apartment and if I had any questions or comments, I could contact Dolores easily. The price, location, and accommodations were just right for our family.

  Our experience was great. Dolores is an excellent host and gave lots of good advice. The apartment is in an excellent location and we were able to explore Barcelona from the moment we arrived.

  We highly recommend this apartment and its delightful owner. We were given special insights into the City by Delores that we otherwise would not have known. Great location in a great city! Easy, clean, transportation and wonderful restaurants, museums, churches and shopping. Thank you to Delores for the courtesies extended to us.

  The apartment was exactly as shown in the photos, well laid out and very clean. At first I thought having single beds would be too small but they are almost like a double bed and as long as a king size bed and very comfortable. The kitchen though small was well stocked and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the coffee and cakes that Dolores left us upon our arival out on the lovely balcony overlooking the park across the street. There is a fully stocked grocery store around the corner which helped as we don't like to eat out all meals. Dolores (the owner) was very helpfull and not only had a ton of brochures but also a map on the wall with all the sites shown and how to get to them (very very helpfull) She also suggested a few places to dine which we went to and found them all excellent, no dissapointments at all. The bus stop was 2 doors up from the apartment entrance but we found we could easily walk (aprox 20 mins) to most places we wanted to see. All and all the apartment and location was perfect and I'd highly recommend staying there while in Barcelona. Once again thank you Dolores for your help and information you made available to us.

  My husband, 8-year-old son and I just returned from 7 nights in Dolores' apartment. It was fabulous. It's clean, well-equipped, with a wonderful balcony overlooking a beautiful park. The bus stops right outside and the tram and metro are just mere blocks away to take you to all over the city. It was so nice to come home from a day of crowded sightseeing to this oasis. The neighborhood is safe and lovely, situatued between 2 cafes and filled with locals, not tourists. Some nights we ate dinner on the terrace with delicious local specialties purchased at the supermarket right around the corner, and we went to the park every night to enjoy the peace and quiet--it's also a great place to run every morning. It was also nice to know that Dolores was right around the corner if we had any questons or concerns. And she leaves so much information about Barcelona in the apartment, you never feel lost. I hope to have the chance to recommend this apartment to anyone I know visiting Barcelona. It was a treat to stay here.

  This is the second time we have stayed in Dolores' apartment and again it did not disapoint. The apartment is clean and well-equiped and situated in a residential area, away from the tourist area, opposite a park. It is not far from the city sights e.g. Cathedral, La Sagrada Familiar, Placa Catalunia, La Rambla and the beaches can be walked to in 20 minutes or so. The nearest Metro is a 10 minute walk away and Estacio Franca about 15 minutes - which will take you by train to and from the airport by changing trains once. Dolores is a friendly hostess who will show you her favourite Barcelona bars and restaurants. We hope to return soon!
