My husband and I spent two weeks in Dolores' wonderful apartment. It was efficient but roomy for two people, and it was in a very nice part of the city. We look forward to going back again, perhaps next year.

This was my third stay in Barcelona and each time I have rented this apartment from Dolores. She is gracious and helpful and will give guidance, if desired, about the attractions, neighborhoods and restaurants of Barcelona. The apartment is very clean and well appointed with a great kitchen for cooking meals with the food that you purchase in the near by Santa Catarina Market or from the almost nearby Boqueria Market. The balcony overlooks the beautiful Parc de la Ciutadella and you are short stroll from the old city, but removed from the hustle and bustle. In short, a perfect location. Metro and bus lines are nearby that connect to all parts of the city and region. It is easy to make day trips to Sitges and Tarragona for example. I have also recommended this apartment to friends and they all rave about Dolores and her apartment. I highly recommend Dolores and her apartment.

My daughter and I stayed at Deloris' apt as part of a graduation trip. Great location, close to Metro, bus and close enough to walk in to City centre. I can't say enough about the help Deloris provided with restaurants, sightseeing. The Tapas bar she recommended was wonderful. Very quiet building, and apt even though on a main st. I would highly recommend this apt. This was the first time we used VRBO and we are now hooked, only way to go. Must see is the Sagrada Familia, take a walk up to the expo-centre and olympic park wonderful views.

I have been dreaming of coming to Barcelona for several years and chose it for the place to spend a “BIG BIRTHDAY” it was a great decision. Spain is a jewel of Europe, Catalonia is a jewel of Spain, and Barcelona is a jewel of Catalonia. And this apartment is a jewel in Barcelona. Of course, Dolores is at the heart of this. Dolores has created a home-away-from –home. We can dash around the city all day and return here to a quiet, safe and welcoming environment. And Dolores has been so helpful, showing us hospitality, and sharing her sincere love of Barcelona. This will always be a special time and place in my heart.

I was spending 4 days in Barcelona with an old friend so we wanted a 2 bedroom, centrally located and safe apartment. This is exactly what Dolores's apartment was. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and a walk away from everything. Dolores was so helpful when we first arrived, and we felt we had a friend in Barcelona who we could call if we needed any assistance. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen efficient and the balcony gorgeous, even in November. Thank you Dolores. I would certainly recommend friends and family to use this apartment if they needed a place to stay in Barcelona.

The apartment's location is outstanding. You can easily walk to La Rambla, the sea, The Born and yet you are just far enough removed from the center to enjoy urban serenity and you are across from a lovely park. The apartment is not luxurious but it is comfortable. Best of all you have the gracious owner, Dolores, a gracious and generous person who will do everything reasonably possible to make your stay pleasant.

Great location - within short walking distance of the historic areas and beach, next to one of the great parks in the City with a must see very large fountain about 3 minutes from your apartment. Great transportation links to the rest of the City and close to some of the best restaurants in the City. The best thing about this apartment is its owner, who makes one feel as if we are her guests, not tenants. She always looked after any special needs and all her suggestions as to restaurants, museums, areas to visit proved to be very accurate.

We loved our apartment in Barcelona – great location! Our balcony was right above the street and across from Parc de la Ciutadella, one of Barcelona’s treasures, yet it was quiet. We were within walking distance of El Born, the beach, the Barri Gotic, and easy access to the metro and buses to all parts of the city. Delores is a delightful hostess and a very knowledgeable guide. She very quickly made it easy for us to feel at home in the city and to enjoy all of the varied and beautiful sights of Barcelona.

The apartment has a central and lovely location facing Ciutadella Park, near to bus and train. And you need only minutes to walk to interesting places in the town, and to the beaches. The flat was fully and good equipped. All was clean, well maintained and ready for giving visitors a pleasant stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful in answering questions about all what you could like to do,see and visit in Barcelona. We give the owner and the flat our best recommendations and are sure you will find it interesting to visit attractions in the town as Sagrada Familia, Park Guëll, La Rambla and of course to use much of your time in Barrio Gotic. We recommend the restaurant Guilleretes. We also recommend the apartment to friends and relatives.

We are home back in the States with the fondest memories of Spain, especially Barcelona and your lovely apartment which really felt like home away from home. We loved the location and the terrace where we would spend time talking about our day or night, adventures to be had and taking in the sights and sounds of your wonderful city. We hope to spend more time with you next time and please let us know if you get to Atlanta. Again, we loved your flat and appreciate your hospitality and the bottle of cava! Kindly, Beth

We recently stayed in your wonderful apartment in Barcelona. The location was great and for added entertainment there was a huge protest march outside our apartment on the last day. Made for quite a story. Dolores is so helpful, and always ready to assist you in finding the best experience in Barcelona. She even volunteered to take my 18 yo niece shopping one morning, which was probably one of the highlights of her trip. The apartment shortcoming and just a minor thing is that the hotpot was not working to boil water and the internet is essentially dial up...VERY slow. Overall, this is a great apartment, in a great location with one of the nicest owners you will ever have the pleasure of meeting!

Wish we didn't have to leave this lovely, perfectly located apartment. Dolores, the owner was most hospitable and able to provide practical as well as historical information about her beautiful hometown.I can't think of any emenity that Dolores hasn't thought of, from a sewing kit to the ever necessary corkscrew. As others have mentioned, transit is readily available and quite easy to manoevre, but walking is definitely the best way to explore the city.Got tickets to see Barcelona FC play at the impressive Camp Nou,--would highly recommend even if you're not a soccer/football fan. Also enjoyed the Catalunya History Museum at the waterfront, and the Cosmocaixa, an interactive science museum, good for all ages. Apartment is a comfortable retreat after the business of being a tourist is over for the day.

We just returned from Barcelona and throughly enjoyed our stay at Dolores' apartment. The location was great - walking distance to many sights and the public transportation was very convienent. The apartment is clean and well maintained. Dolores' recommendations on restaurants and sightseeing was great and accurate. She greeted us when we arrived, showed us the apartment and was available for questions. She even made some other reservations for us. A very, very nice person! There were three of us in the apartment and we were very comfortable. We would recommend this property to others and we also recommend following Dolores' tourist information!

A few weeks ago my wife and I had a wonderful stay in Dolores' apartment.Located overlooking the El Ciutadella Park and only three blocks from Barcelona's old city it was the ideal location. The crowds and the noise of the city faded when we were in the apartment yet we were able to enjoy our breakfast and cocktails on the balcony; gazing at the activitiesbelow...joggers, bikers, strollers, people enjoying their café; it was afascinating scene! The apartment itself was well appointed with the luxury of a second bedroom which gave our daughter (a student in the area) the option of spending the night with us. We can't overemphasize Dolores' vast knowledge of Barcelona as well as Spain. Not only did she guide us to the fabulous sites of the city but she also assisted us in planning a trip to Costa Brava (after helping us evaluate that vs. a trip to Madrid or Granada). Unfortunately, while visiting Barcelona we experienced an emergency medical problem...however; Dolores assisted us in finding immediate medical treatment. Her translating talents helped immensely! Dolores' apartment was the perfect accomodation for our family as we took three days in Barcelona prior to our Mediterranean cruise. We found the place to be very clean and comfortable, which allowed us to quickly recover from our "red-eye" flight from the US. Dolores is the perfect host, welcoming and briefing us on all the essentials for local shops and dining, as well as how to navigate the excellent public transit system. She gave us great advice and direction to see the many wonderful features of Barcelona. We were very happy with the location, several public transit options within a block, and the Parc Ciutadella just across the street. Breakfast on the terrace was a delight. We will be coming back to spend more time here for certain.

The apartment is all that has been mentioned by others: cute, conveniently located, well-equipped, a home away from home etc... However, clearly what makes the whole experience outstanding is the owner, Dolores. From the moment that she met us at our hotel (a week early in order to accommodate us by receiving payment prior to our cruise), she was such a pleasure. We went out to dinner that night, and walked around with her as she gave us information about her city. Later, after our cruise, we took a night tour of Barcelona with Dolores. She is extremely knowledgeable and generally a fun person to be around. We all agreed that she was our "favorite part" of our vacation to Spain. Gracias por todo amiga.

Stayed here for 4 nights in June 2010. Apartment is large, immaculately clean, central to everything - bus literally right outside the door which connects 5 mins away to airport bus. Wonderful roomy balcony overlooking the park is probably the apartment's greatest asset apart from its owner. Dolores is a gem - loves her city with a passion and can't wait to tell you about it. Took us on a tour of the old city one evening and we ended up having dinner at the oldest restaurant in Barcelona. A truly wonderful stay - thank you Dolores!!

My wife and I stayed here in the early spring of 2010. Fantastic apartment with a terrace overlooking the charming Parc de la Ciutadella. The apartment is short walk to the sea (Barceloneta) and the historic El Gòtic. Many of Barcelona's other attractions are within walking distance including the Gaudí designed cathedral and several of his homes. The metro is literally around the corner for easy access to the rest of the city and outlying areas (I recommend a day trip to Montserrat). The apartment itself is well appointed, clean, and cute but the terrace is clearly the starring feature so I would travel during months that allow you to enjoy it. Delores, the proprietor, is a gracious host who will happily inform you of the neighborhood and city highlights. When I return to Barcelona, I will book around this apartment's availability. It's so nice and well located that I can't see any reason to stay elsewhere.

We had a wonderful stay at the apartment made special in large part because of Dolores. The layout of the apartment was as shown in the photos. It was clean with amenities as listed. The location was ideal, across from a park and easy walking distance to the tourist sites. It would have been better if there had been internet access. The satellite TV provides mainly German channels. There was some noise from a neighboring apartment, a situation that is difficult to avoid in Europe. Dolores was totally helpful. Barcelona is a tremendous city. We were there for two weeks and could have stayed longer. We would recommend this apartment to family or friends.

It was exactly what we were looking for.The apartment was charming and in a quiet neighborhood. The park across the street is beautiful and we were in walking distance of many interesting sights. We felt safe wondering around and we were close to the metro so it was easy to visit with my son often. Dolores made every effort to make us feel comfortable and even offered to show us around herself! We highly recommend this apartment!!!

Your ad on VRBO was “right on”. The flat is cosy, and it is in a central location.Everything that you need is nearby. You can walk to most things, or hop on a bus in front of the flat for adventures. And, after a busy day in the community, sipping vino tinto on the terrace.Your numerous excellent suggestions for dining and sightseeing were much appreciated and well worth trying. Your offer of customized walking + driving tours allow guests to get the nest out of their time, in and out of the city. While every trip must have its “bumps” you proved yourself to be very responsive and helpful during a dental emergency. You can’t get that kind of assistance in any hotel.Would definitely recommend apartment and most definitely Dolores's tours during which Dolores introduced us to some parts of the city that were most interesting and that we would otherwise have missed. fantastic holiday. The coffee, milk and muffins were also so very much appreciated the morning we woke up! We sat on the balcony and played cards every evening before dinner. It was lovely. We enjoyed watching the green birds that looked a little like parrots and we think we heard the elephant from the zoo once. While walking down a street one evening, we saw the lion up behind the fence and it roared at us! It was such a sight! The location was just perfect and we became experts using the Metro. Thank you very much for the restaurant recommendations. On our last night, we went to Aqua at the beach and it was our best meal of our entire vacation!

We enjoyed staying at your apartment. It is clean + efficient + just enough ream to spread out a bit! Thank you so much for all your help after my wallet was stolen. You really went above and beyond!! Hope to come visit again to see more of this charming city. Next time will definitely take one of your famous tours. Thanks for everything.
