Experience the beauty of Central Wisconsin's woods from the comfort of our Spacious 3 bedroom vacation home, complete with a deck (with gas grill), wood fireplace, 2 living areas, sunroom, fire pit and a great waterfront address.
This beautiful vacation rental is our 1,300 square foot lake home (smoke free), it is completely private with its own entrance and private patio and private deck. Located just one hour from Wisconsin Dells for a great day trip, five minutes from great downhill skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing hill (Nordic Mountain), and just a mile or two from town where all the conveniences of life are, including awesome grocery shopping, wonderful retail shops and some of the areas best eats.
You can enjoy your vacations just how you always wanted to-relaxing and convenient. Stop for ice-cream at Milty Wilty or the Dairy Queen. Go out to dinner at the many fine restaurants such as Silvercryst Supper Club, Christiano's Italian Restaurant or The Buck Rub for fine dining. If you choose to 'cook-in' there are two grocery stores in town to choose from, Stoneridge Markets (great selection of meats and cheeses) or Copps.
This is ideally located for guests who wish to experience the great outdoors. In the Wautoma area are Two challenging golf courses, tennis courts, boating, horse-drawn hay and sleigh rides, downhill and cross-country skiing, ice skating, snowmobiling, horseback riding, hiking trails, canoe trips, bike trails, geo-caching, excellent restaurants and a performing arts center are just a few of the vacation delights awaiting you.
For the perfect getaway, our lakeside private home is just what you need. Beautifully decorated with many antiques, comfortable furniture and beds, books to read or borrow, games and 2 televisions with DVD player because sometime the weather doesn't cooperate. This is the perfect atmosphere to make your stay delightful. Set among tall pines, with a wonderful view over looking beautiful spring fed sand bottom Bughs Lake a cool breeze seems to always be blowing. Enjoy Bughs Lake, a no wake lake, with the row boat, paddle boat or the two tandem kayaks, swim to the 'swim raft' or simply play in the sand in the shade of the willow tree. Oh yeah you can also catch pan fish and bass right off of the pier.
Private spacious 1,300 square feet of living area, large living room (with a spare living room for the kids) with open kitchen and dining in the sunroom, including a beautiful stone fireplace at the center of it all.
The master bedroom has a beautiful hand made queen log bed complete with matching side tables and a view of the lake, making this room a perfect place to start and end your day. The second bedroom has another queen bed and two windows to bring in light and catch the breeze. The third bedroom has two sets of comfortable bunk beds (four twins) and an extra twin bed for a sleeping total of five. The bathroom includes bathtub with shower and a stackable washer and dryer.
Just a few feet away from the lake side deck is the outdoor bonfire pit with several log chairs and loveseats for your comfort when making s'mores around the fire and watching the stars.

This is a nice family cottage. It was clean and furnished with almost everything that you would need. It is a small, no-wake lake but was fine for using the paddleboat and other boats that were on-site. Very peaceful and easy to get to.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+.

Jay & Lang Family Thank you for sharing your lake home with us. We had a wonderful time. Your house was the perfect site for us and the kids. My son especially liked your Kid movie selection. Dear Lang Family, I just have to tell you that our vacation at your lake home was absolutely WONDERFUL!! From the great beach and swimming area to the fantastic firepit for S'mores at night, I can't say enough! You have thought of every detail to make your home the perfect location for families to relax and enjoy one another! The home was very comfortable and very clean! We truly had a very enjoyable, relaxing week on Bugh's Lake and we each went home with some very happy memories! Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your cozy (such unique antiques and cute decorations) lake home! PS: We LOVED the kayaks and used them each day! The kids toys were such a welcome surprise! Everything is definitely KID FRIENDLY!!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+.

With a family consisting of a teenager, two toddlers, two parents and a grandma we had many needs for a good vacation. This property met them all. We enjoyed relaxing, swimming, and hanging out by the fire, all in a peaceful environment with a nicely stocked cabin. We will definitely consider coming back!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

Jay, We did want to thank you for letting us use the cottage. Everything was wonderful!! The cottage had everything we could possibly need.It even had things we did not know we would need.The paddleboat was quite the hit with our kids and the hammocks were a hit with the adults We all had an awesome time. We loved this cottage! It's ideal for families with younger kids up to 12 yrs. or so. (The older ones may want more action on a big lake with jet skis and fast boats. The features that we enjoyed the most were the fact that you have a backyard with a little beach that sits right on a lake. Very easy to get up and get out to fish, swim, kyak or just watch the eagles. We also liked the kid's room, eating area (large and overlooks the lake), washer/dryer and access to the boats! Our kids golfed every day right around the corner at the public country club (very affordable and nice courses). There's a nice slide that goes right into the lake and a floating dock to sun on. There are some great restaurants, shops and a large lake down the road if you want to water or jet ski. Just when we were feeling that it was "our little cottage", we had to head home :)Recommended for: Families with young children.

Why the Owner Chose Wautoma:
We were looking for a simple home that still had that feeling of being up north without being on a lake of trophy homes. We found this home in July 2007 and have fixed it up and made many improvements to make it a great place to enjoy the simple life. This is a no wake lake so you won't have to worry about your children getting run over by a jet ski or a boat, so you can sit back an relax and let the children be children.

There is nothing pressing to do, but there are a million things to do. Play in the sand, catch a fish, swing on the swing, play in the sand, take the paddle boat out, catch a frog, have a snack, go for a walk, get a Dilly Bar from Dairy Queen, go for a swim, play a game on the deck, watch an eagle fly in the sky, play in the sand, order take out food from Christiano's, start a fire at dusk, have s'more, have another s'more, okay have another s'more, look at the stars, dream about doing it again tomorrow....
