Located in beautiful Downtown Banner Elk, you will find Hemlock House. This house was originally built in the 1950's and was lovingly renovated in 2008.
The house sits secluded at the end of a quiet street just off the Lees McRae campus. You would never know you were in the middle of town once you are there. The home boasts a huge deck on the back of the house where you can sit, relax and enjoy the sounds of the Elk River rushing over the historic Mill Pond Dam.
The house has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Two of the bedrooms and baths are upstairs and the downstairs has a private entrance with one bedroom and bath. The master bedroom has a King size bed and the guest, a queen. The master bath has his and hers sinks with granite counter-tops and a cavernous tile shower with Rainfall Shower-head and body jets. The Jacuzzi tub is also located in the master bath. (Open the windows just above the tub and listen to the roar of the river.) The guest bath features a pedestal sink and an original cast iron porcelain bath tub with shower.
Downstairs you will find a private bedroom with a queen size bed and full bath with the original cast iron porcelain bath tub with shower. This bedroom has it's own private entrance.
The kitchen has all new appliances....refrigerator, flat top stove, dishwasher & microwave and has granite counter-tops.
The living room features a couch, love-seat, and a 60 inch TV, as well as the original wood burning fireplace.
There is also a pool table and kids games in the sun room.
Hemlock House is the PERFECT place for a relaxing and convenient vacation!
