"Perfect Life" is perfect for families who want to enjoy a private beach, biking, boating, sailing, and beautiful views.
It is also perfect for birders, because it is adjacent to the Audubon Bird Sanctuary. The bird sanctuary is accessible from the road or a short walk down the beach. Perfect Life is located on the east end of Dauphin Island in a gated community on a cul-de-sac with a beautiful private boardwalk to the beach. Golfing and tennis are available at the Isle Dauphine Club on the west end of the Island. There are also many good restaurants, a bakery, a sno-cone/ice-cream shop, grocery store, and souvenir shops.
The Estuarium and sea lab are 1/4 mile down the street from Audubon Place. The Estuarium is great for seeing a variety of sea creatures from the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Bay. Fort Gaines is also on the east end of the island and open to the public for tours. It's fun to ride a bike or walk to these tourist attractions on the bike trail. The Dauphin Island Ferry leaves from the east end of the island and travels across Mobile Bay to Fort Morgan several times a day. There are many scheduled ferry returns to the island during the day. There is a jet ski rental and sandwich shop next to the ferry. Bike and kayak rentals are also available.
