Leucadia is famous for our kick-back island style, beautiful weather and friendly people. Leucadia Seabluffe Village is a unique beach-front neighborhood. We’re very sparsely populated, quiet, park-like, guarded and gated with our own private access to the beach. Our community, "Seabluffe", neighbors South Carlsbad State Beach, Ponto Beach and Batiquitos Lagoon for walking and world-class coastal birding. Our beach, Grandview Beach, is excellent for surfing, bodysurfing, swimming, sand castles and long walks day or night.
You'll love how central this is to all San Diego attractions, yet still a calm sanctuary surrounded by nature's perfection. Come enjoy island-like paradise living in beautiful Southern California.
Our 1600 square foot 2-story townhouse (bedrooms downstairs) has two bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a full kitchen and a 2-car garage with laundry. Just two years ago we remodeled and designer decorated with all new furnishings, flooring and fixtures. It's quite lovely inside our home and just 1 door down from our quiet Cul-de-sac location is a secure gate to access beautiful Grandview Beach.
You can lounge around with the ocean sounds throughout the house, and relax while watching pelicans fly overhead or take beach walks. At low tide you can walk for over five miles in either direction. For more excitement we are near all of the Southern California attractions including Legoland, the World Famous San Diego Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park, SeaWorld, Disney Land and many, many more.
Inside our home you’ll find places to read or watch TV. We have televisions and DVD’s in every room, all of which have sleep-timers and premium cable with HBO. In the master bedroom there is a cal-king-sized Beautyrest bed (so comfy!) with 100% cotton sheets, private bath, TV/DVD and sliding glass door onto our beautiful, lush, private garden. Sip coffee in the morning outside the bedroom while you read the paper in peace and quiet, bliss!
In the second bedroom there is a queen-sized Beautyrest (so comfy!) with 100% cotton sheets, TV/DVD, rocking chair and a large window onto garden (see picture). The pack-n-play (including spare linens/blankets) is kept in this room's closet.
The upstairs living room is large and has ocean views. Telecommute from the huge genuine leather sleeper sofa, or pull it out for a queen-size bed. This room also has a gas fireplace, and 32” television. Also on this level you'll find a library nook daybed perfect for children's sleeping. The home-office is here too.
Our home has a table for 8. It's pub-style so you can see the water from the dinner table. Off the dining room is a large closet where we keep the high chair.

Sometimes mistakenly called "the cove" this is actually a "childrens pool" created by Ms. Scripps , and the seals have made it their favorite area rookery.

A must visit for anyone in the family who likes aircraft, military hardware or Maritime history.
One of the best zoos in the world. A guided bus tour is available. Night-time zoo in the summer is a great way to see more active animals
A great day trip if you like fine art galleries and want to see the best of the O.C.
May seem a little far, but many of our guests make a day trip or two to Disneyland, depending on the priority.
Its a full day trip, but for our foreign visitors, or sun-lovers craving escape from June Gloom, this state park is the largest in the contiguous 48 states. Really cool, usually hot and sunny. From this visitors center you can get information on a very unique, short palm oasis trail walk up into the "palm canyon"

Our young family had a great time staying here. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and the beach was a fun and adventurous little walk away. The kids loved the stash of toys upstairs and we all had plenty of room to spread out and relax. It was really nice having the backyard nook and the deck upstairs to enjoy the sea air and listen to the ocean.

We enjoyed a great week in the Carlsbad area relaxing and site seeing. The owners were very helpful both before and during our stay by providing help and suggestions on logistics as well as local attractions both natural and commercial. We had a great visit to Borrego Springs at their suggestion. We had easy access to both the beaches and local sites. The community is quiet and friendly. We brought our teenagers, but could see how younger families would have fun at both the beach and pool.
