Accommodations:  Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 4-6)

BEAUTIFUL, simply furnished, private two bedroom apartment in Williamsburg, one of New York's most fashionable and fun areas. The apartment is very spacious-- about 1000 square feet-- with lots of room and privacy for a family or group of friends. There is a full kitchen, full bath and pull-out sofa; the apartment will sleep 6. The apartment is the entire first floor of a 150-year-old house with high ceilings and lots of sunlight. It has a a private entry. Both beds are queens, and there is also a convertible sofa in the huge "bedroom suite." Linens and towels are provided. There is a microwave, stove, toaster, kettle, pots, pans, coffee maker, hair dryer, pack & play, etc. Also toys and kids' books.

TRANSPORT: The apartment is 50 yards from the subway (see the nearest blue "M" on the map). To get from our stop- Grand Street on the L line- to Union Square in Central Manhattan takes 10 minutes (I timed it!) The subway runs 24 hours.

AREA: Our street is safe and residential. We are always happy to point the way to our beloved local hang-outs, including some of the best restaurants and most charming cafes in New York, as well as fashionable shopping. Williamsburg is also world-famous for its cutting edge music scene and galleries, and its mix of artists, flamboyant fashionistas and young families. (As a German friend of ours said, "Williamsburg ist das coolste!")

KIDS: We love kids!

A HUGE ADVANTAGE over Manhattan: parking is easy to find!

WE PROVIDE: linens, towels, dishes, pots, pack & play, etc.

FEES: We require a $100 deposit by check or Paypal to hold the reservation, and prefer the rest in cash when guests arrive. The rate is $170 per night in the busy season and $140 per night from January through March. For stays of three days or less there is a $50 cleaning fee. There are no other taxes or extras.

GROCERIES: There is a corner store a few feet from the house and a supermarket one block away, as well as a health food store, cafe, fish market, liquor store, pizza place, and many other food options.

We have lived in Williamsburg since 1994 and love the youthful spirit of the neighborhood. It gives us a lot of pleasure having visitors say they enjoyed the apartment.

my husband, toddler son and i stayed here for a week earlier this month. it was in a great location near the subway and within walking distance of many restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores. it was also near a park with a playground which was perfect for our son. cassandra was also able to provide a portable crib, and in the closet of the flat we found an umbrella stroller and some toys as well. the air conditioning in the bedrooms were also quite nice as it was rather hot and humid during our visit.

Wonderful Stay

My husband and I had a great stay here visiting our daughter who lives four blocks away. The apartment is so close to the subway and to local restaurants and services that we'd likely stay there again even if our daughter moves. The kitchen was equipped with basics, and we cooked dinner there one night. It was kind of scary using a gas stove and oven with no electronic starter -- we had to light the flames the old-fashioned way, with matches, but no mishaps, fortunately. All in all, the apartment was clean and comfortable. What little noise came from the street we were able to mask with the A/C set to "fan only" for some white noise. I recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the area.

My husband and I stayed with my parents for 4 nights in May. Vibrant area, a true Brooklyn/NYC experience! The subway could not be closer, a short block up the street. About 10 minutes will get you to Union Square. The apartment was simply and tastefully decorated. We liked having the two bedrooms on opposite ends and although the larger bedroom faced the street, it wasn't nosy at night or in the morning. We found a small grocery deli place called Moe's (766 Grand Street), that had toasted bagels with cream cheese for only $1! So were the muffins and other pastry type items, so we usually walked up to eat breakfast for cheap and then headed to LuLu's for coffee. Also, if you like Italian try La Locanda (432 Graham Ave). The owners originated from Italy and it is a family run business, they were super nice and the food was fantastic. Overall we really liked the apartment and would stay again. Even though I only saw Cassandra for 2 seconds when she let us in, my Mom said she was super nice and friendly and very accomodating with a later check out.

Review – Brooklyn My husband and I along with my brother-in-law and his wife spent 4 nights in this Brooklyn apartment in June 2009. Cassandra was very helpful about giving us directions and helping us find free on-street parking, and was very willing to provide us with other information. We really enjoyed our stay there. It was a short block to the subway stop and exactly 10 minutes from Manhattan. We would leave early in the morning, sightsee all day and then head back to Brooklyn where we would get take-out from one of the numerous restaurants in the area and then relax back at the apartment. One day we even walked across the Brooklyn Bridge before we took public transit back – so much fun! The apartment is on the first floor and you can see the little garden in the back from the hallway and one of the bedrooms. The apartment was quite basic as far as kitchen supplies and other conveniences (e.g. no toaster or TV) are concerned, but the beds were comfortable and most importantly, the apartment was very clean. We would definitely recommend this apartment to family and friends.

Owner response:We have a toaster oven now! (But still no TV). Thanks for taking the time to post, I really appreciate it.

best time in this place!

We had the best time in this place. We had been to NYC a few times before and were sick of staying in overpriced but nevertheless disgusting places. This place is by far the best deal we have ever come across in and around the city. It is spacious, beautifully furnished and very clean. It even has a view of a cute little garden. The people that are running it are friendly and welcoming. It is close to Manhattan (about 10 min to Union Square), but at the same time away from the mayhem so you can relax when you are tired of running around in the city all day. It is a real apartment, and makes you feel at home. We were sad to leave this place. Highly recommended.
