Black Bear Cabin is a rustic log cabin vacation rental in the beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula. Located one mile north of Chassell, the cabin offers year-round accommodations. Black Bear Cabin is your home for exploring the sites and attractions of the Keweenaw. The cabin is one mile from Chassell Beach and is within driving distance to all the Keweenaw Peninsula's tourist destinations.

Fall is especially beautiful at the cabin as the property consists of four wooded acres with the gorgeous changing colors of maple and oak leaves. Winter visitors snuggle up to the large fieldstone fireplace and enjoy the falling snow on the trees surrounding the cabin. The Keweenaw offers some of the best skiing and snowmobiling in the country. The Keweenaw is also home to Michigan Tech's Winter Carnival featuring unique snow statue creations and winter fun. Located in a quiet setting with a view of Portage Lake, Black Bear Cabin is a relaxing option for your next Upper Peninsula vacation.

  • We loved the peacefullness of the cabin. We really enjoyed ourselves. There is a lot of land that my boys could run and have a great time. We kept forgetting we were right in town and close to everything. It is a place that is the best of both worlds. By the way, we also stayed at their other cottage on Lake Superior in Baraga - another great place to stay. We always know we will have a great stay when we visit the U.P.

  • My kids and I have stayed at Black Bear Cabin numerous times. We keep coming back for more! The cabin is so cozy and comfortable. It had everything we needed everytime. The kids love the size of the property, they have room to run around as with a hotel there would be no play. I love quiet nights sitting infront of a warm fire. Overall I would suggest Black Bear Cabin to anyone interested. You would not regret staying there!
