Why the Owner Chose Chassell
We purchased the log cabin from a friend who now resides outside of the U.S. We always loved the cabin and its cozy feel. When our friend decided it was time to sell, we jumped at the chance to own such a beautiful property and have never looked back.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Cozy, quiet, peaceful. The location and decor of this cabin instantly relaxes us. We also love fires in the beautiful fireplace.

We loved the peacefullness of the cabin. We really enjoyed ourselves. There is a lot of land that my boys could run and have a great time. We kept forgetting we were right in town and close to everything. It is a place that is the best of both worlds. By the way, we also stayed at their other cottage on Lake Superior in Baraga - another great place to stay. We always know we will have a great stay when we visit the U.P.

I have stayed at this cabin several times and even hosted a birthday party for my sister who lives in the UP. It is so beautiful and peaceful there and you can't help but want to move there permanently. I have so many special memories of black bear cabin!

My kids and I have stayed at Black Bear Cabin numerous times. We keep coming back for more! The cabin is so cozy and comfortable. It had everything we needed everytime. The kids love the size of the property, they have room to run around as with a hotel there would be no play. I love quiet nights sitting infront of a warm fire. Overall I would suggest Black Bear Cabin to anyone interested. You would not regret staying there!
