Delightful Medieval Town house in Cortona's city centre, in Via Guelfa one of the oldest streets in town. This is a very romantic stone town house with a lovely balcony on the top with a small table and 2 chairs, overlooking the Valdichiana Valley. Located in Via Guelfa, one of the main streets of the town, in front of the Convention Centre of S. Agostino, 2 minutes walk away from the main Via Nazionale, the main street and from the historic centre, in a quiet position a few steps away from the two main piazzas Piazza Signorelli and della Repubblica. The house has been recently restored to a high standard maintaining original characteristics: terracotta floors, beamed ceilings, niches, an open fireplace and the original stone stairs. It is lovely and comfortable, furnished in Tuscan style with care and attention to details: restored ancient doors, an equipped kitchen with a nice open fireplace. Each detail has been perfectly restored by local artisans, like blacksmiths, joiners and glass makers. It sleeps up to 2+ 2 people.
It is developed on 4 levels:
Ground floor: Main entrance hall with antique Cortonese typical furniture.
First floor: by an internal stone staircase: large bathroom with shower with an internal small laundry room with ironing board, living room with decorative fireplace, sofa double bed and desk, balcony on Via Guelfa.
Second floor: equipped kitchen with open fireplace, table and chairs, large dining room with 2 sofas, table and chairs.
Third floor: double bedroom with wardrobe and 2 bedside tables, bathroom with shower and living room with sofa. Little nice balcony with table and 2 chairs overlooking the Valdichiana Valley.
