It's perfectly located on the desirable southern end of Topsail Beach, a short distance from shops, restaurants, and the Jolly Roger fishing pier. Inside you'll find comfortable, peaceful decor and a kitchen with a full set of amenities. 10 can sleep comfortably on three queen beds, two twins, and a sleeper sofa, with all bedrooms directly facing the ocean. There are even two porta-cribs for the little ones!

Sea-Zen is a perfect haven for anyone looking for some great R&R! Even in April with less than perfect temperatures we had a great time. The house is clean, laid out well, and has great ocean views and direct access to the beach. We will definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Sea-zen is an excellent, front-row beach house! The interior is clean and the furnishings are up-to-date. The location itself, beyond being on the beach, is nice too because your a short walk to the Jolly Roger pier area where you can fish, play mini-golf, visit the museum or go to a restaurant/bar. If you walk the other way you'll eventually hit the southernmost point of the island, Serenity Point, which is a great place to take in the sunset. The only thing that was less then excellent was the interruption in our stay. On the first full day of being there we were visited by two worker men who let themselves in and, with our approval, did some work for a couple of hours. In that time one of them stepped on a phone charger and broke it. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was enough to be annoying and not a good way to start the vacation. Could have been easily remedied if they came at a time when no guests were there. The owners were informed and they did apologize. Hopefully this was just a weird one-time thing. All that said, I would definitely schedule a return visit to Sea-Zen and I would recommend it to friends and family!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

my wife & i enjoyed our time at sea-zen. it was all as advertised. i have reccomended this to other family members. i know they would enjoy being able to have the beach just steps away.we found some restaurants open even not being the "beach season"Recommended for: Age 55+.

Three ladies looking for an oceanfront vacation away from jobs and the responsibilites of family for a short time and Sea Zen delivered. Sea Zen lives up to its name, an extremely relaxing, well-equipped home with decor that is more Zen than "beachy" allowing the ocean to take centerstage at this property. The owners were easy to work with making the rental process a breeze, and I don't believe you will find a nicer oceanfront property at Topsail for the price. During our stay the monarch butterflies were migrating south and from the deck hundreds of butterflies fluttered by literally close enough to touch at times. What a treat! We are already making plans to return in the spring.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This was our second year at Sea-Zen, and we have fallen in love with Topsail Beach. This is the perfect family beach for a wonderful relaxing weekend. The sand is ideal for sand castles and the water is lovely. We took many walks on the beach collecting shells and walked two blocks to the sound and watched the sunset every night. We saw dolphins three of the seven days. We were sad to pack up and leave and are already looking forward to next year. This will definitly be our yearly family summer vacation. There is a kayak slipway two blocks away on the bay, next year I hope to get a kayak and explore the sound :~)Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Amazing views. Overall good stay with plenty of rooms. Upper floor master layout good. Exterior shower and drying lines helpful with easy on / off beach access. Great location for bike riding, strolling, yet close enough to the commercial areas if needed. Great restaurant and coffee shop nearby. Felt it lacked a bit in cleanliness (bed covers, bath rugs, railings, doors and tables sticky residues) and absence of basics such as dishwasher soap, good working can opener etc. Some of the furniture seemed to need secured better (coffee table leg unattached and master bed upstairs), esp if young children around.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great location w/wonderful views from the home.We had plenty of room for out family and were comfortable there.It took a few days to get the dryer fixed but the manager did get back to us in a timely fashion re: concerns.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

There are a few things that really make Topsail Beach stand out as a perfect vacation spot. First, it's never crowded. Topsail Beach has the feel of a classic family beach spot, no high-rises, no traffic, friendly folks everywhere. Even in peak season, there's never a crowd on the beach. Second, even though it's small Topsail Beach has all the amenities, with a grocery store, restaurants, seafood shop, souvenirs and even a church nearby. Finally, it's easy to get to, either by driving or flying into Wilmington airport less than an hour away.
