You'll love to stroll or jog the beach in the mornings, searching for shells and shark's teeth, and walking to breakfast. If you're an early riser, the sunrises over the ocean can't be beat - just beautiful! Most mornings you'll see dolphins playing in the surf from the deck. Sand pipers and pelicans playing are a daily feature.
Your daytime activities can run the beach gamut of reading and relaxing on either our huge oceanfront deck or out on the beach, to tanning, to bodyboarding and frolicking in the waves, and lunches at the nearby eateries and ice cream parlors. The North Carolina Aquarium, Fort Fisher Civil War Museum and site, and ferry to Southport are just 5 minutes down the road.
Guided kayak tours and chartered deep-sea fishing are available in-town. Multiple golf courses are minutes from the house. The beach rental company in town will deliver and set-up beach shelters on the beach for you, or deliver everything from water toys to volleyballs sets to bicycles to your door. There's lots of fun shopping at quaint shops in-town within easy walking distance.
In the evening you can sip cocktails on the deck, or on the private beach access located above the dunes, or take a short walk down the beach to Happy Hour at the local Tiki Bar constructed on the remnants of a pier on the beach. Full moons and star-gazing are awesome! Or, you can also walk around the pet-friendly lake across the street, and watch movies and picnic there when the town projects movies outdoors each weekend just like at an old-time drive-in! Fireworks every weekend! There's plenty of nightlife and gourmet dining in town and in nearby Wilmington. If you prefer to stay in and cook, the super-fresh local catch of shrimp, crab and ocean fishes are superb!
Doing nothing here is also an excellent alternative. Sit back and just enjoy the relaxing tranquility you'll feel watching the ever-changing and beautiful oceanfront view. You can go as fast or as slow as like in Carolina Beach -- the choice is yours and both work! Either way, at the end of a hard day relaxing in the salt air, you'll be gently lulled to off to a deep sleep listening to the ocean waves crash just outside the sliders.

Why the Owner Chose Carolina Beach
We chose "Sea Cliff" because it is a small, friendly complex of only three large and upscale units with ample parking. The beach out front is not crowded as with so many other sections of Carolina Beach in front of the large complexes and hotels. We were looking for an uncrowded, relaxing stay, and found this was our best bet. So many of the others (you'll see them on this website) had tiny, very crowded, loud swimming pools in complexes full of people and cars with cramped units and little decks -- that wasn't for us! Come and enjoy a truly relaxing experience directly on the North Carolina oceanfront!

The Carolina Beach / Kure Beach / Southport area combine the untamed beauty vacationers expect of the North Carolina seashore, along with the charm, small town ambiance and friendliness of the South. Big city nightlife and culture are nearby in Wilmington -- if you can make yourself leave the island! Our three-bedroom home (sleeps 6-7 people) has been redecorated to capture the refined style of the tropics with Plantation shutters on the windows and offers a fully equipped kitchen for "at home" convenience as well as a washer/dryer. Guests of our "Sea Cliff" condo can also enjoy the private ocean / beach access walkway leading to the beautiful beach that is just steps away. Our outdoor beach locker is available for the security of your beach items, and contains boogie boards and beach chairs for your convenience.

Walk your dog, jog on surrounding sidewalk, see movies on weekends projected outdoors -- right across the street.

Our family has been vacationing in the Carolina Beach area for 25 years. We've brought our children here every summer to play in the waves and enjoy the beach. Our daughter and son-in-law were married right out on the beach! It's that beautiful and about the most perfect family vacation spot as you'll find. They've loved it and you'll love it too! I'm a home inspector and my wife is a facilities manager so our objective is to always have the unit in top-flight condition for your visit.
