This is a country home that is near the interstate for easy access. It is within 10 minutes of restaurants and Iowa's finest outlet mall. It is within 20 minutes of the amazing shops of the Amana Colonies and 30 minutes from the culture of Iowa City including shopping, plays, museums, a lake, a river, great restaurants, and a University. We are also 30 minutes from Cedar Rapids and Kalona with its great quilt shops and Amish products.
This is great get away for girlfriends, a nice place for hunters to stay, and a nice alternative for parents visiting students at the University of Iowa. It is a great place for quilters, star gazers, or romantic getaways.
The house is completely updated inside while maintaining the original spirit of my grandparents when they built the house.

Why the Owner Chose Marengo
This is a family farm that has been in our family for almost 100 years. The house was built in 1930 by my grandparents who gave their house to my parents.
