Come to amazing Zihuatanejo and enjoy our fully furnished condo on the ground floor of a small (26 units), tranquil, 2-year-old gated condo complex with beautiful pool, tropically landscaped grounds, and 24-hour security.
The location of this unit is perfect: It's less than a block -- 200 steps -- to La Ropa Beach, the most beautiful in Zihua. Most years, the water in this protected bay is warm enough to swim in January. Scattered along the beach are restaurants that range from casual to gourmet. This location also means you won't need a rental car to access downtown Zihua’s colorful public market, shopping, and restaurants -- you can walk, or at the other end of the street you can hail a taxi (about $3) or bus (50 cents).
The condo itself has everything you need to make your stay comfortable, including air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, and washer/dryer. The main bedroom has a comfy king-sized bed; the second, smaller bedroom has twin bunk beds. The lanai is a stone's throw from the pool. Please note that our no-smoking policy extends to the lanai as well as inside the condo.
The minimum stay is 5 nights except for holidays and the month of August, when the minimum is 7 nights. Long-term rates are available: We extend a 5% discount for stays over one week and a 10% discount for stays over one month. Rates are for two persons, and each additional person is $10 extra per night.
Our property manager, a retired American who lives on-site, will greet you with keys to the condo, a map of Zihua, and printed information such as the location of the closest grocery store. If you experience any problems with the condo during your stay, she's your neighbor.

We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing six week holiday here, staying staying in apartment 301B. This small 25 apartment condo complex is very attractive, built around an extremely large, exceptionally clean swimming pool and attractive well-maintained gardens. The apartment itself exceeded our expectations - very clean, spacious and attractively furnished. We had a large double bedroom, a small single room with bunk beds and a spacious lounge/dining area/kitchen. The apartment was comfortable and well furnished with a dining table seating 6, an excellent cooker with oven and hot plates, large fridge and a washing machine and dryer. There was also a large screen for watching DVDs. The air conditioning was very effective, although we hardly needed it as at night we left the windows open to allow a gentle cool breeze to enter. There was also a Wi-fi connection. The whole complex is extremely well run with 24 hour security. Marsha, the lady who manages the lettings of a number of condos, was very welcoming and helpful - nothing was ever too much trouble and she was a mine of useful information on the area. The apartment is literally a 3 minute walk to the beach and buses and taxis stop virtually right outside. It is a very safe area and at no time did we ever feel threatened. We certainly felt that we had found the best place to stay in Zihuatanejo. Zihuatanejo is a lovely place, with lots of good eating establishments ranging from shanty beach shacks to upmarket restaurants. We particularly enjoyed being so close to the beach for our early morning walks and sundowner "happy hour" cocktails. The weather was just perfect during our stay... and no mosquitos! We would certainly recommend this condo as a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay.

Our two week stay here was blissfully uneventful, just as we'd hoped. The manager and other owners/renters was friendly and helpful, the apartment as clean as could be and the grounds maintained to a high standard. It was easy to catch a little bus to Centro, and there were plenty of places to walk to, and restaurants to eat at. Taxis were plentiful. The owner (Terry) answered any questions I had before our departure within hours of them being asked. Weather couldn't have been more perfect. We'll be coming back!

My wife and I enjoyed several weeks here in March & April 2010 and had nothing but the best of times. And one of the special problems we have always had in Zihua was finding something without stairs for my step-challenged wife. Infact, this is only missing a grabrail at the toilet and shower to qualify as a good handicapped rental. NO stairs here at all. Other nice features- huge pool and very good for lap swimming/ bus pick up less than a minutes walk/ beach access about 2-3 minutes/ 6 good restaurants in 5 minutes walking/ and absolutely dead quiet at night. The total no smoking policy is a real plus for us as well. And I just have to mention the great little BBQ on the patio...it's the best gas grill I have ever run across.
