Come to amazing Zihuatanejo and enjoy our fully furnished condo on the ground floor of a small (26 units), tranquil, 2-year-old gated condo complex with beautiful pool, tropically landscaped grounds, and 24-hour security.
The location of this unit is perfect: It's a half-block -- about 50 steps -- to La Ropa Beach, the most beautiful in Zihua. Many years, the water in this protected bay is warm enough to swim in January. Scattered along the beach are restaurants that range from casual to gourmet. This location also means you won't need a rental car to access downtown Zihua’s colorful public market, shopping, and restaurants -- you can walk, or at the other end of the street you can hail a taxi (about $3) or bus (50 cents).
The condo itself has everything you need to make your stay comfortable, including air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, and stackable washer/dryer. The main bedroom has king-sized bed; the second, smaller bedroom has twin bunk beds. The lanai is just steps from the pool. Please note that our no-smoking policy extends to the lanai as well as inside the condo.
The minimum stay is 5 nights except for holidays, when the minimum is 7 nights. Long-term rates are available: We extend a 5% discount for stays over one week and a 10% discount for stays over one month. Rates are for two persons, and each additional person is $10 extra per night.
Our property manager, a retired American who lives on-site, will greet you with keys to the condo, a map of Zihua, and printed information such as the location of the closest grocery store. If you experience any problems with the condo during your stay, she's your neighbor, just steps away.

Year Purchased: 2009
Gary & Terri met in 2005 in Baja California and fell in love. They bought a house on the beach, where they spend much of the winter; in summers, they live in Idaho. They got married on 8/8/08 (lucky day!) and took a belated honeymoon to mainland Mexico. When they arrived in Zihuatanejo to visit friends, they fell in love with the La Ropa Beach area, and within days they bought their condo at Residencial La Ceiba. They look forward to spending time in Zihua during the winter.
Why the Owner Chose Zihuatanejo
We were instantly captured by the location, size, and tranquility of Residencial La Ceiba. La Ropa Beach is well-known as the nicest swimming and strolling beach in Zihuatanejo, and our complex is a stone's throw from the beach - but just far enough away to be private and quiet. La Ceiba is only 2 years old, has only 26 units, and the pool area and common grounds are impeccably maintained. We like that our unit is close to the pool. We loved everything about the place the minute we saw it.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We love the simple pleasures of La Ropa Beach and our condo at La Ceiba: jogging or strolling on the beach in the mornings, having breakfast on the lanai, reading by and cooling off in the pool. Sometimes we head down to one of the palapa restaurants on the beach to enjoy the sunset with margaritas and a platter of fajitas. We like to take the bus downtown to the colorful public mercado to buy fresh fruits and veggies and "the catch of the day," and we occasionally make a stop at the local coffee roaster ... It's all part of the relaxing life at La Ceiba.
