Granite Point is an unique setting, surrounded by water on three sides. A short walk to cove areas and boat launch for boating and kayaking. New nature trail on Timber Point with access to the ocean, great for beach combing at low tide. Off the rocks or from the shoreline the cove beaches and point offer great fishing and beachcombing. Granite Point is a great location for walks and biking.

I almost bypassed this gem of a house because I was nervous about the lack of reviews. So glad I took a chance - I literally jumped up and down holding hands with my kids when we put our bags down in this spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated home. Outside layout: private road, houses are fairly close, but situated in a way that you are not facing each other so it was never a privacy issue, decent sized deck with a view of the ocean, nice green grass on the lawn, which was large enough for bean bag toss but not large enough for wiffleball (just to give you an idea of size). Inside layout: huge two car garage with walkin to the downstairs full bathroom/laundry room and three bedrooms & stairs to access the kitchen/dining room located on the second floor. We loved the layout of the downstairs bedrooms because they were not right on top of each other - they were spaced so that you actually felt like you had some privacy once you shut your door. The bedroom closest to the full bathroom has two twin beds and a dresser & closet, it is a large enough room if you had to fit an air mattress or another sleeping bag or two. At the end of the hall is the master bedroom with a full or queen bed, double closet, one dresser & two nightstands (I think - my parents had this room so I wasn't in there often) with a huge full bathroom. Just before the stairs to go to the second floor is a bedroom with a full sized bed, small pull out couch (we did not use), and a dresser & nightstand & closet. The fourth bedroom is upstairs, but set far enough away from the living areas that you aren't woken up by early risers having coffee. It has a full bed, dresser & closet. All of the bedrooms have at least two large windows and brand new ceiling fans that are as quiet as they are effective. No one was ever too hot. The upstairs has a somewhat open floor plan which houses an eat in kitchen (one small island seats two & large island seats 4), a dining area (seats 8), and a living room (seats 6). There is a bathroom with nice shower as well situated close to the upstars bedroom. There are large windows anywhere that you could possibly put a window, so cooling down the house was as easy as opening them. Every room was tastefully and beautifully decorated, making it a joy to return from the beach. Owner: responded promptly to any and all questions, returned security deposit within two weeks. Location: walking distance to small beaches and rocks to explore. Great for kids!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My siblings and I are looking forward to our return to your wonderful house at the ocean that is so inviting and feels like home. The open floor plan in the kitchen and living area creates a very comfortable space for our family gathering. The multiple windows and deck provide great light plus a view of the ocean and an endless connection to nature. Granite Point Road is great for a walk or a jog with its glimpses of the ocean on one side and the Audubon Society marsh on the other side, not to mention the beach along the way. My husband fished at the end of the road in the Little River as the tide came in. He only caught a couple of crabs but it was peaceful and beautiful. I was the bait girl. Maybe this year we'll kayak. I'd recommed this house for anyone, couples, families or groups, who want a peaceful setting for their getaway at the Maine shore!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We love the laid back feeling in Maine. No traffic, no hurry. The beach is great for young children and walks. The nearby 3 mile beach is perfect for long walks, swimming, surfing and boogie boarding. The seafood is terrific. Lots to do as a family.
