We've rented several time previouisly through one of the major management firms so we were somewhat apprehensive working directly with the owner. Most of those concerns were mitigated by the owner's timely and comprehensive communications on every minor question we raised prior to arrival. Once we got there, it was clear that this was a unique property that exceeded our expectations. Everything was immacualte and in good condition. The views are just as described on the website. Overall, one of the best experiences we've had in a rental property.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our family lives in MA, NJ and VA so we decided to rent a beach house for Mother's Day which also coincided with my "29th" Birthday. The house far exceeded our expectations. First and foremost, the elevator allows any older/handicapped family members the ease of getting from the entry level to the top level where the kitchen, dining area, living room and fabulous deck are. The only thing I would recommend is the addition of a ramp in the garage. The owner is spot on when she says there is a water view from every room. I've stayed in other beach homes in bethany beach but this one has a magical feel about it. The owners have created a home-away-from home for their guests. My husband and I rode bikes to the boardwalk, he and my cousin bravely went out on kayaks, and I enjoyed a wonderful morning stroll on the beach with my new baby while the rest of the guests slept peacefully. The access to a grille is also a plus. And if you are fortunate enough to sleep in the master bedroom, the extremely comfortable high-end mattress will allow you will sink into a blissful dreamlike state. 5 STARS!!!!!

This home is as warm and comfortable as it looks in the photographs on this website. The owners were available and answered all of our previsit questions. Our family of six adults and six children, ranging in age 18 months to 14 years, had a wonderful time in the last week of June 2010. South Bethany Beach is a quiet, clean, family oriented beach town. The large, noisy, hectic beach cites are nearby, should one want to add that experience to their vacation. The beach itself was well guarded and maintained. We enjoyed the beach time with the grand children, but I particulaly appreciated the quiet, early mornings spent in the kayak on the bay. The State Park Beach that borders the South Bethany Beach added positively to the expereince. Our children, who live in tourist oriented areas of North Carolina and Colorado, and were impressed with our experience at this location. We plan to return.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
