The Unique Benefits at this Garden Apartment
This property is located on W. Hall St., in the southwestern section of the National Historic Landmark District. We are 1 block west of Forsyth Park. You can see the park from the front door. What's in our neighborhood .... on the corner of W. Hall and Whitaker is the Forsyth Park Inn. Check out their prices!! At 108 W. Hall is a lovely historic home once owned by famed painter, Ray Ellis. Next door to that house is the Savannah College of Art and Design's Graduate Studies building, located in the beautiful, historic Smithfield Cottage. Across the street from our house in a lovely old Victorian, is a Savannah College of Art and Design Art Gallery and Administative offices. At the southern end of Forsyth Park you will find shopping and dining. And across the park is the Mansion on Forsyth, an upscale hotel that has fine dining. You can walk to anything in the historic district and come home to a quiet pied `a terre.
1 mile is the distance around the park. Be sure to visit the shops and eateries on the southern end of the park. Check out any of the many weekly events that take place at the park.
A lovely old mansion, expanded and updated into a luxury hotel. Has a fine dining restaurant.
Check out the unique shops in this corridor of Whitaker Street. Known to locals as the Design District, you will find unusual one-of-a-kind items here.
This spot is easy to find. Just look for the line that curls around the corner onto Whitaker from Jones. Lunch, southern style since way before you-know-who.
Check out this upscale restaurant at the southern end of the park. Most of the tourists miss out on this one.
Owner's Map of Savannah
My husband and I purchased the property several years ago and had been using the garden apartment for friends and relatives who were visiting Savannah. Word of mouth had us renting the apartment out for the winter months to friends of friends from places like Wisconsin, New york and Canada. We decided to list the property with VRBO to keep the property rented through the summer months. We have kept the price at a very affordable rate and anyone who stays here recognizes the tremendous value and will come back again and again.
I am a local realtor and my husband is an attorney. We are both originally from upstate New York but have lived in Georgia for the past 20+ years. We love Savannah and will never leave. We love our old historic home and know that you will too.
