Me and my wife were in this cozy studio in April 2012. First, the location. You can walk to Rue de Rivoli in 15 minutes. The oldes market just around the corner so you can buy produce, cheese and even wine there! All the metro stations within 10 minutes walking. The studio itself is nice and everything inside was done with great taste. All necessities are there, even the saw kit! All the restaurants(even jewish kosher) within short distance. Cable TV, Wi-Fi Internet I used every day. The building is very secure, two entrance doors with electronic locks. And the owner, Catherine was amazing. We came late in the evening but she arranged everything to meet us there. Highly recommend to anybody who would like to relax after running through Paris every day!

The best place to start is with Catherine, the owner. Throughout a flurry of airline snafus and scheduling troubles, she was there at every inconvenience to lend a helping hand. When the airline lost our bag, she was gracious enough to be the contact point for its return, even though they called her very late in the evening. She was accommodating with check-out time and kind enough to help us find bus routes, metro stations, and taxis. My girlfriend and I had separate arrival times, and a taxi, which she arranged, was waiting for me when I arrived (late) at the airport. The apartment itself is a gem. It's tucked away in lovely courtyard complex and there is literally no noise to be suffered--very nice after a long day of scooting around busy Paris. The bed is splendid and there are a ton of wonderful little bakeries and cheese shops all over the neighborhood. The National Archives is just down the street, and the Seine is only a ten minute walk down Rue de Archives, which is just around the corner. It is warm in wet and windy weather, and well lit. The kitchen is small, but there's plenty of room to make a nice breakfast and a big enough refrigerator to store whatever you may need for a short stay. We truly had a special time here and will look to repeat our visit soon.

My husband and I just returned from a week in Paris. This was our first experience with vrbo but will not be the last. The apartment has everything you could possibly need although a couple of more towels would be nice. We did not cook much but loved having the american style coffee maker for the morning and it was great having the fridge to keep our cheese and cold drinks in. We walked to all of the sights from here and felt perfectly safe being out in the wee hours of the morning. The pictures on the website are very accurate, the description was wonderful and it was extremely clean. Catherine was excellent both with emails before we got there, providing direction from the airport and answering any questions. As we had a very early flight home, and our French is very limited, she looked after booking a cab to the airport for us. She is like an old friend. We would recommend this apartment home to anyone and would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you Catherine for helping make our first Paris trip so enjoyable.

My husband and I booked this apartment for 6 nights at first and were so impressed with the location, layout of the studio apartment and the helpfulness and friendliness of the owner, Catherine, that we booked it again for another 4 nights 3 months later. The location is ideal - right in the heart of Le Marais district, which has an abundance of cafes, restaurants, markets, parks and fashion stores (and there is a really great Boulangerie/bakery [Chez Mason?] around the corner for croissants, pain au chocolat and baguettes for breakfast!). It is about a 5-minute walk from the nearest metro and only a 15-minute stroll to the Le Seine. The apartment is so well-equipped, clean and well-maintained that there is no reason to not feel right at home. Catherine provided a helpful guide, which contains tips, maps and contacts and makes it a bit easier to find restaurants, grocery stores and shops around the district - perfect for first-timers in Paris. If/when we return to Paris - this is where we will stay again...

This well appointed apartment is ideally situated in the heart of the Marais with restaurants, supermarkets and transport within easy walking distance. With so many cafes nearby it is difficult to choose the best, but all tastes and budgets are catered for. The apartment is secure and overlooks a pleasant courtyard entrance. Catherine is a wonderful host and is very helpful with advice to solve the little problems that many travellers encounter. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to our friends.

Catherine was WONDERFUL to work with. She was so helpful and thoughtful with everything from email alerts about possible traffic to the airport to giving us awesome tips on restaurants and things to do to immerse in Parisian life! Be sure to read her little booklet on the table upon arrival! The studio was very clean, well-equipped, and decorated with a nice personal touch! We had everything we needed! And Angelina the housekeeper was so very accommodating and sweet. The studio is in a prime, trendy, high-fashion boutique area, but quiet and also very close to some of the best street markets in the city! We would stay there for sure on our next visit to Paris. Thank you Catherine!

This studio was wonderful. The location is perfect, close to the foodie hub and although small, the studio is spotlessly clean with every conceivable comfort. The bed is supremely comfortable, there are music and film DVDs, English cable TV stations and a multitude of guide books as well as Catherine's excellent local advice. The shower is great and the tiny kitchen is very well equipped. I stayed in the studio alone for one week in September 2010 and would not hesitate to book it again. It was far better than another larger studio that I stayed in a few weeks later. I carelessly left behind a piece of clothing and Catherine went out of her way to make sure I got it back.

We had a great time staying in the studio during our 8 days stay in Paris! It is very central, and we walked everywhere - to Notre Dame, Louvre, Latin quarter it was only about 20 min walk, and walking is what you do in Paris! I think we only started using metro ( which was about 5 min from the studio) after the first 4 days...The area is full of little streets with restaurants and cafes, so there were plenty of people around later at night and always felt quite safe. We used one of the local supermarkets to stock up on food, but bought bread around the corner. There were 2 laundromats very close to the studio to do the washing. The kitchen had way more utensils than we needed ( we didn't cooked much), the studio was very quite at night as the windows were facing the internal courtyard. There were lots of maps, guide books and a dictionary in the apartment, and Catherine put together a very useful booklet with all the vital info about the area and staying in Paris. Catherine organised everything ( even the taxi to the airport) to make our stay perfect so we would happily stay there again! Thank you Catherine for your hospitality!

The only little minus was the size of the bathroom - very small, so it might be a bit uncomfortable for a large person, but I guess it is pretty normal for a parisian accomodation and we would still come back and recommend the property as it was perfect in all other respects. Catherine organised everything ( even the taxi to the airport) to make our stay perfect so we would happily stay there again! Thank you Catherine for your hospitality!

I cant say enough about the flat and the experience we had working with Catherine. I cannot think of a single complaint. My wife and I were taking our first trip to Paris and this flat was perfect. We loved the neighborhood - great restaurants, shops, bakeries, all only a few blocks away and the majority of sights to see are all within walking distance as well. Catherine was a great host. The studio is full of travel books and maps, and Catherine's personal lists of where to eat and places to go was a huge help. Id advise everyone to take advantage of the Velib Bicycle station only a few blocks away - we loved checking out bikes and riding around Paris - a wonderful experience. It was nice that the flat did not face the street as well, which always made it a quiet retreat where we could open the windows and enjoy the view into the patio and the natural light w/o the street noise. THANKS CATHERINE! If we return to Paris we would definitely stay here again!

The apartment was perfectly located near everything that we needed! Marais is a perfectly quiet neighborhood with plenty to do - but also near the metro which is easy to get anywhere else in Paris. The apartment was VERY clean and the perfect space for the two of us while we were in Paris. We started our vacation here, then went to Provence and returned to hotel for the last nights we were in Paris before we returned to the US. Without a doubt the apartment was WAY better than the hotel. To top it all off Catherine was an amazing host as well. All of her recommendations - either for how to get to the train station or which place for dinner were the best! She even helped us with a recommendation for dinner while we were in Provence and the restaurant was absolutely perfect! You will be very pleased staying at this apartment - don't hesitate to book it!

WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR STAY in this well maintained, organized, updated, quaint, comfortable, clean, and cozy little place. Catherine's organizational expertise is evident everywhere... - an extremely well written booklet with "everything" you need to know about the area, from transportation to how to blend in while experiencing the Parisian way of life (So Helpful!) - English magazines tucked in the closet beside the bed -Q-Tips in the bathroom -Necessary kitchen utensils stowed away tidily in a basket -T.V. stations listed for english -Books lined neatly on a shelf -Maps and attraction pamplets in the drawer -Internet, phone, and stationary supplies Alongside all these material comforts, Catherine readily gives of herself as well. We were so appreciative of the taxi arrangements as well as the open communication, when we had questions. My recommendation is to spend at least one day just walking around this neighbourhood (with a map) to take in all the shops, bakeries, cafés, and magnificent architecture. Notre Dame Cathedral is only about a 15 to 20 minute walk as well. We took the Hop On/Hop Off bus tour and found it to be a good starting point to familiarize ourselves with distances, and also to get a great overview of this picturesque city. Should we ever get the opportunity to return, we'll hope that Catherine is still sharing her gem with others.

I spent one week in this cozy little studio in le Marais, and it could not have been more perfect - it was exactly what I wanted! It was the perfect blend of peace & quiet, but in a fantastic, trendy neighbourhood full of little jewels such as boutique shops, markets and cafés. Everything was a close walk, and you could not ask for a better "local" Paris experience... the apartment is clean and tidy, the bed was SO comfortable and the shower made my mornings! Just the perfect place to come home to after a long day of sightseeing. It feels very safe too, which was important... Catherine, the owner, is the BEST!! She was so helpful and takes great pride and care to make sure you have the best experience. Some of my favourite neighbourhood places: Café Progrès, the fromagerie on Le Bretagne, Pink Flamingo pizza (!!), anywhere along Rue Vieille du Temple (beautiful shops!), Rue des Rosiers (excellent falafel)... the list goes on. :) Catherine, thank you for making my week in Paris one I will never forget! Mille mercis!
Owner response:Thank you for those kind words - it always makes me so happy to know a guest leaves Paris with fond memories and that I have a "little" part of it ! Catherine

This is a delightful, fully-equipped apartment in the heart of Paris. It is spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed and it's location off an enclosed courtyard makes it a quiet and restful haven from the bustle of the city. There is much to see in the neighborhood; lots of bistros, shops, & boutiques. The Picasso Museum & Place des Vosges are a short stroll away, and the Seine & Notre Dame are also within walking distance. We were able to hop on the metro to visit many other sites. We had the pleasure of meeting Catherine on our arrival. Her warmth & friendliness were the perfect introduction to Paris, and she even helped us with a restaurant reservation, as we don't speak French. For anyone who wants authentic, safe, and comfortable accommodations in Paris, this is a great apartment.

Just returned from a week's visit with my daughter who is living in Paris and missing home cooked meals. My favorite thing about this studio was being able to walk to nearby markets and shops and then cook simple meals. Although small, the spotless kitchen had everything I needed, and we enjoyed many memorable meals next to the window overlooking the courtyard. I hope to stay in this lovely apartment on my next visit and will recommend it to all my friends.

We stayed in the apartment for 4 days in late December'09 and were very happy with our experience. The owner, Catherine, was the best part...she was accessible, friendly, flexible and a joy to work with. We loved the location, tucked away in an upscale residential area and appreciated having a glimpse of what real Paris is like. The flat is tiny, but well equipped (nice bed/bedding, maps, guidebooks, movies, satellite tv, web access, tea and coffee)and when it was FREEZING outside it was lovely to come home to a warm nest. Hope to be back soon!

I spent 4 days there with my wife; first time for both of us. This place was amazing. It had everything we needed and was in a charming area. Cozy little streets and a great neighborhood with plenty to do and good food. Despite the amazing food in Paris, we cooked two nights and the kitchen and supplies were enough to make a nice dinner. The apartment was clean and well maintained. Catherine was extremely helpful. We view this as our little apartment in Paris and cannot imagine staying anywhere else.

We stayed here for 10 days and despite the rainy weather we had a wonderful time . The apartment served us well and we enjoyed waking each morning with a coffee and fresh baguette from one of the neighborhood bakeries . The Marché des Enfants Rouges is an excellent place for dinner and snacks supplies . We especially like the Italian stand; we enjoyed the proprietor as much as his fare . Robert and Louise has a rustic country side atmosphere, just around the corner . We tried many of Catherine's recommandations and found them all to be excellent . We are already looking forward to our next visit to Paris and will not hesitate to call Catherine to see if the apartment is available !

My plan for my ten days in Paris was to try to get a real sense of what Parisian life is like. What better way to do this than by renting an apartment? This comfortable studio was centrally located for most things I had come to see and do in Paris. It was perfectly appointed with kitchenware, office supplies, and books to read. Though it's in a busy neighborhood, the apartment is on a courtyard, so there is little to no noise, a great feature for the tired traveler who has prowled the city all day. Nearby there is a wonderful variety of restaurants, museums, galleries, bakeries and shops. This home away from home was made even more ideal by Catherine's helpful assistance and friendly nature. The next time I visit Paris I will definitely stay in "my" Marais pied-a-terre!

We absolutely loved our time at this apartment (Sept 21-29, 2009.) It is in a great neighborhood, with lots of great boutiques and restaurants. You are surrounded by great little open air markets, little cheese shops, etc. The Marais is my favorite neighborhood of Paris. It feels something like the West Village of NYC. The apartment was very cozy, fastidiously laid out to maximize the space. The kitchen was well appointed, so we were able to take advantage of the little food shops and make salads and have fresh baked baguettes and cheese. The studio is very well kept and very clean. And the bed is very comfortable! And finally, the owner Catherine is very sweet and considerate and very hospitable. She provides you with her own guidebook about the neighborhood and also is happy to help in any which way. I highly recommend this apartment for a very Parisian living experience.

I second Charlotte from San Diego. I just got back from Paris and I stayed in Catherine's super charming studio and I intend to only rent this apt on my future travels to this beautiful city. I was floored by Catherine's hospitality and eagerness to give advice and directions. As a matter of fact a restaurant she recommended became our favorite place and we dined there three times during our visit. This apt and neighborhood are a truly great way to experience this beautiful city.

If you want the full Paris experience, you have to rent this studio. All you need for your stay is in the neighborhood -- supermache, fromagerie, pastaria, fresh daily produce. This is my 3rd trip to Paris and I will only rent this apartment for all my return trips. The location is in the heart of one of the most quaint and beautiful districts in Paris, and is a short walk to various sites (5 mins to the Picasso Museum, 15 mins to Notre-Dame, & 20 mins Louvre). The apartment is equipt with everything you need, even free long distace calls to the US. The owner, Cat, not only made booking and checking in very easy, she made me feel so at home and was able to answer all my questions, like a full service concierge. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone . . . its like finding a diamond in the rough.
