Thanks for a great stay at Rainbow's End. The unit was the perfect size and had everything we needed. The welcome "bag" was a nice touch. We really appreciated the beach chairs and cooler; used them everyday. There was plenty of parking, and loved the option to walk into Cruz Bay for dinner. Hope to see you next year!

Thank you for your hospitality. We truly had a lovely time in St John. Raonbows End was a quaint condo. We loved the view and being so close to town. It really made our trip. We hope one day to be back on STJ and will definately consider Rainbows End again.

What a great week on St. John at Rainbows End. The villa sits close enough to town that we walked to dinner two nights and enjoyed watching the ferries and boats cruising in and out of the harbor. We even named an iguana who perched himself on the nearby tree each day so the kids could see him and marvel at "our new pet". The villa is perfect for a family of four with the two bedrooms and kitchen for cooking meals if you don't plan to go out. One of the best parts of staying at Rainbows End was working with the owner, Patti. She is wonderful to deal with and made our stay enjoyable for us. We highly recommend this villa if you are looking for a location close to town and all it has to offer.

NOISY!!

Unfortunately we were pretty disappointed that we were not made aware of the noise from the bars with music playing until 1 am, and then construction starting at 7-730 next morning. It was SO loud. On a vacation we hoped to get more than 6 hours of sleep. We could not believe that the "book" in the condo said to close the windows and put on the ac to avoid the noise. We really wish you were upfront with it and atleast made us aware. We will never rent from vrbo again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rainbows End. The views were beautiful and looking at the pictures that I took there will help me get through the upcoming winter! We really enjoyed the pool and the covered deck was awesome. Rainbows End had everything that we needed(beach chairs, towels, cooler). The kitchen was a money saver because we cooked many meals there instead of going out to eat. The property was clean and the distance to town wasn't bad at all. It was a great value and my friends and I would love to make a return trip to Rainbows End. I am really happy that we choose to stay there. Thank you Patti!

Wonderful Time at Rainbow's End

We spent six wonderful nights at Rainbow's End. It was a beautiful location, nice facility, wonderful greeting. I would love to thank Patti for allowing us to enjoy her family's perfect condo on the most beautiful island in the world. It was second time to St. John and Rainbow's End beats the Westin any day! We will be back soon.

Just returned from a last minute rental of Rainbows End at Battery Hill. We found the unit worked perfectly for our needs. A/C worked great and the unit is very, very nice with a great spot located near the pool and grill. This unit has everything you could need and was very clean. The arrangements for pickup at the ferry dock worked perfectly as well. Patti, the owner, was also very gracious and easy to work with. We will return to the best island in the Caribbean and to Rainbow's End.

Rainbow's end is fantastic

Everything is just as shown. Beautiful views, beautiful island, beautiful pool. It's just a short walk into town for everything you need. We were there eight days and only rented a car for two. St. John is a paradise and this is the place to stay if you visit.

5 Stars! A+! We cannot wait for the next chance to visit St. John and stay at Rainbows End on Battery Hill. The pictures don't accurately reflect how nice the place really is, it is better! Very clean with majestic views of the island. No need for a rental car as the location is a short walk into town (beware of the hills on the way back up). Leading up to our vacation the property owners and managers were very accessible and helpful in answering all questions to ensure a great stay. Thanks again for everything!

Rainbow’s End Exceeded Every Expectation

Selecting a place to stay based on photos on the web can be challenging. We made our choice to stay at Rainbow’s End based on the proximity to ‘downtown’ Cruz Bay, the pool and the other reviews we read. We are certain that we could not have made a better choice. Every inquiry to Patti, the owner, was responded to promptly and graciously. Our greeter was onsite at the dock and gave us an excellent overview of the property and answered all of our questions about the island. The condo is much larger than it appears in the photos; the large deck area (both shaded and open) is where we spent most of the time. The covered portion of the deck was painted which made it comfortable to go barefoot. The breeze from the bay swept the scent from the Plumeria tree thru the open doors and the cool sweet smelling air is one of my favorite things to remember about our visit. The walls are adorned with beautiful watercolor paintings; every piece of furniture was lovely to look at as well as comfortable and the tile floor shined. The beautiful (and very clean) pool is steps from the door – we were in it every day. The temperature was always just a few degrees cooler during the day and a few degrees warmer at night, which made each swim a pleasure no matter the time of day. We hope to visit again soon! Great stay overlooking Cruz Bay

We enjoyed a great week at Rainbow's end. This was our 1st visit to St. John. We echo all the prior positive comments - great value, convenient location, fantastic view. Breakfasts on the deck were a treat. The owner, Patti, was amazingly prompt and helpful on our many inquiries. The greeter who met us at the ferry dock was also on time and gave us a good orientation of the property and the island. We used the condo as our base for daily jeep excursions around the island, but it was a 10 minute walk into town for dinners and shopping when we didn't want to drive (or park). The hill is a bit of a climb back up - but we figured we could eat whatever we wanted and burn the calories on the way home! The provision of beach chairs, cooler, and plentiful beach towels were much appreciated. We didn't see Iggy around the pool, but we too did have a brief rainbow on our last morning, which came too soon. Thanks Patti - we hope to be back some day!

Comfortable and Affordable

Rainbow's End was our Home Away from Home for a week in March during the St John Blues Festival. From my first inquiry last year, through our departure last week, the owner and management company were very available and answered all our questions. The condo was clean and comfortable and within walking distance (via a steep hill) or short taxi ride to all sightseeing activities. It was a great 50th birthday celebration for two life-long friends!

I have land on St John and have been to St John over 20 times. THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY. You over look downtown and can walk to downtown so you do not need a car or jeep. Pattie is the best as the owner and responds to any needs. Has a pool large enough to get rinsed off and keep cool after the day at the beach. The view is great. Safe and plunty of room. Kris

Wonderful stay at Rainbows End

I will start with saying that the photos and description of Rainbows End on VRBO accurately reflect the rental. It is actually larger than we thought and the covered and open deck gives you lots of extra space. The unit is very comfy and has everything you need for a vacation. We really enjoyed that the quiet pool area was so close to the unit. The location in Cruz Bay was perfect for us. With four mornings of diving with Low Key, my husband, daughter and friend found walking down the hill to the dive boat very convenient. I could even stand on the deck and watch as their boat left the shore. We would also walk into town each night for Happy Hour, dinner, shopping and strolling around. We always felt safe walking. We had a rental jeep, but only needed it for visits to the beautiful beaches and a day trip to Coral Bay. The whole Battery Hill complex was very clean and well maintained. We highly recommend this property to everyone. Last...the view from Rainbows End IS amazing!! I could look out over Cruz Bay and the beautiful sea for hours. I won't soon forget the morning that a huge rainbow stretched across the bay after a brief shower. We will return!!

Great place to stay!

My wife and I were looking for someplace to stay for a couple of days while the villa we rented in Fish Bay would be available for our use. We found the owner of the Rainbow's End unit at Battery Hill Condos to be a pleasure to work with while making the arrangements. More than once during our stay we remarked to each other that if we had to do it all over again, we would have just booked our entire visit for that place, as it had everything we needed, and was very convenient to town. We loved the view of Cruz Bay, the short walk to town, and the comfort and amenities of the condo. This is a place that we will certainly try to stay at in the future!

Fabulous condo in the heart of Cruz Bay

I stayed at Rainbow's End in Battery Hill in early April and it was a great condo! This was my first time in St. John and I loved being close to the Cruz Bay area (it felt like the "downtown" part of the island). In about a 8 minute walk you can get to many bars and restaurants within walking distance. I recommend the Lime Inn for drinks and the great restaurant behind the Bayside Market (can't remember the name). Okay, back to the villa, it has a great L-shaped balcony with plenty of seating and great views of the ocean. My friend and I spent plenty of time in the pool at the villa. Next time we'll go to the grocery store and pick up some meat because there is a great grill outside. I would totally stay at this place again if I have the pleasure of returning...I would strongly recommend this to any of my close friends and therefore to strangers too :)

This picture looks exactly like the one that I took from the balcony. Battery Hill is a wonderful property with a pool, gorgeous deck and a lot of space. The property was extremely comfortable and beautifully maintained. I stayed here on a relaxing long weekend vacation with a friend. We enjoyed lounging on the beach chairs on the deck and around the pool. As we enjoyed a good book or a night cap. We also enjoyed the location which was a quick and easy walk to Cruz Bay, where you can find many of the island’s fantastic restaurants and bars. Our best meal was at Rhumb Lines which is only a 10 minute walk down the hill. I would certainly recommend Battery Hill to any of my friends and hope that I get a chance to get back there myself!
