Fun on South Padre Island!!

We had a great time on South Padre Island. This was our first time to use VRBO.com and were a little nervous. We have two teenage boys and a younger son, so we need a little extra room than what is available at most hotels unless you have two rooms. The condo was perfect for us. We enjoyed the size, having two bathrooms, the large screen tv, the proximity to the beach. For the money, it was a very nice place to stay. The kitchen was roomy enough and well equipped. We enjoyed cooking a few meals together at the condo. Roy and Kathy even made sure to provide us a grill to use complete with charcoal and lighter fluid!!! They did a great job answering all of our questions and pointing us to lots of fun activities. We did several activities with Breakaway Cruises and really enjoyed them. The WaveRunners were the definite favorite for our crew. The staff at Breakaway Cruises was very nice and helpful. Two of us even caught a shark on our bay fishing trip. The buffet at Louie's Backyard was awesome and the Friday night fireworks over the bay was a great touch. Blackbeard's was a good meal also. The beach was a little hike but most everyone along the area walks to the beach. The beach was nice and clean each morning. Overall, we had a great time, enjoyed the condo and would definitely stay again. Thanks to Kathy and Roy for their SPI hospitality!!!
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, families with teenagers.
