Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2008
Hi there, We are a family of 3. My husband and I have one 9 year old son, who loves to skateboard and hang out in the pool. We live in Calgary, and spend 2-4 weeks in Kelowna a year. We have made many friends there, and enjoy the warm nights and mosquito-free time outside.
Why the Owner Chose Kelowna
We choose this location because of the proximity to the beach and to the downtown sites. We also enjoy walking through the shops on Ellis street where lots of Art Galleries and eateries are. We walk down the lake to town and eat at the Rotten Grape and many more of our favorite reastaurants. Good food and great wine! You can sit outside and listen to the bands play in the park across the street.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Lots to do without getting in a car! Our son has fun in the lake as well as the pools and games room. We are looking forward to our summer there. We like to rent out our unit when we're not there so we can let other families enjoy the Kelowna summer like we do!

We waited over three hours to check in...the owner, Shauna, ignored our texts...she had our money...she didn't care. We never "formally" checked in or met the property manager, Lilly, we were let in by her assistant, who felt bad for us. Looks like a run-down student residence. The carpets are absolutely disgusting... we're afraid to take our shoes off. Absolutely reeks of cigarette smoke. Burns on the furniture. Glass lamp shades and light bulbs missing. Bathroom drawer broke off in my hand. Kitchen cabinets loose and falling apart. Warm fridge with no light bulb. Everything is dusty and dirty. No garbage cans in either bathroom. Drawers full of garbage ... we found everything from a baby soothers to rolling papers and condoms. Bathroom fan broken. There is a LOUD wall-mounted timer in the master bedroom closet to keep us awake (for what?) One wall-mounted air condition ... which means the bedrooms are unbearably stuffy if you close the doors...and street too loud to keep the windows open. My niece cried she was so disappointed. If this was a hotel, we would have left for alternative lodgings the moment we arrived...but we're screwed because we paid up front, and now we'll will have to make the best of a horrible situation.
Owner response:This is absolutly untrue. My manager had 2 conversations with you about check in times and arranged to check you in when she had an opening between 4-6. This is standard practice on a busy Saturday. There was a walk through done when you arrived and the only thing you mentioned was a burnt out bulb, which is a specialized item and was on order from the manufacture. I asked the last renters about any smells, and to comment on the other items decribed by you. They had no such complaints only positive things to say.I am Sorry you think you need to slander this add with your comments. They lack all validity. I can only assume you are looking for a discount after over spending on your holiday. As this is a common occurance this summer. The unit is a 450,000.00 condo that is two years old. I doubt that it could be termed a student housing complex. The pictures speak for themselves. This unit has been booked the whole summer and I have not had one negative thing said. You should definatly stay somewhere else next year.
