You'll enjoy your stay at our one bedroom cottage hideaway. It is tastefully decorated and has a deck to watch the early morning sunrise. Your cottage is cozy and snug in all seasons, but there is a gas heater for the cool nights. Once you are in Embden, you will feel as if the outside world is miles and miles away. Savor Embden days in solitude. Go high in the foothills or lie low, stretched peacefully out under an umbrella of venerable pines or enjoy the waters of pristine Lake Embden. Nestled in the western mountains of Maine, 4.5 miles long it is a body of pure mountain spring water. Try your luck at fishing for landlocked salmon, small mouthed bass or lake trout.
There is 325' of private frontage. There is a public boat ramp nearby to launch your boat into the lake. A dock is available to tie up your boat, or use our 16' canoe or the paddle boat. There is a float for swimming and a sitting area near the water. Hiking and mountain climbing await you in the Carrabasset Valley, which includes Sugarloaf and the Bigelow mountain range. There are many white water rafting companies with a 30 minute drive of the cabin.

We bought property here, built a log house first, then the cabin.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
We are on a private road and the lake is beautiful and peaceful. The map is not right. Embden Colony Club is the name of the cabins on our road, which is called KINGS DRIVE. We are the only Kings drive that runs off of Embden Pond Road.
