This Peaceful home in the country on the Pedernales River arm of lake Travis with hot tub is in Spicewood, Tx. This property sits up on a bluff overlooking the river. You can hike down to the water or drive down to the water and the dock. There are two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two doubles. There is one full bath and a second half bath. There is also a hot outdoor shower. On the basement level there is a room with a double bed, however there is no bathroom on that level. There is a road that runs along the lakefront also. Our home and decks have panoramic views of the hills. Located near the Barton Creek Lakeside Resort.
Summer 2011 Update: Our dock is no longer floating, but since our house sits up on a bluff, we still have nice views and breezes even thought the Pedernales River is very low. Nearby Krause Springs is a great natural springs swimming hole closeby.
Great romantic getaway....only 30 minutes from Austin. Pick up some wine, something to grill and kick back on our wraparound deck and watch the sun set. Enjoy our very private hot tub, take a walk along the waterfront, chill out on the dock on this very quiet and glassy arm of the Pedernales River where it meets the Colorado and Lake Travis. If it's a chilly night, cozy up in front of the wood fireplace. Visit nearby Stone House Winery or the unique all natural Krause Springs for a very cold dip in the water. Or if you are really adventurous try the zip line at Cypress Canopy. Great barbeque at Opies right down the street if you dont want to cook! Check out the stars at night and just experience the quiet country vibe. Only 15 minutes to Lakeway and all of its restaurants, shopping and theatre. Or head the other way to Marble Falls, Johnson City or Fredericksburg for a day trip.
