Nestled directly on the beautiful Northern tip of Elk Lake, this fully remodeled and pristine Beach House will provide you with the comfort for a fun and romantic vacation. A small galley kitchen and main living area as well as a cozy bedroom and full bathroom round out the entire property. This dwelling works well for a couple or small family. There is room for a pack and play in addition to two children sleeping on the pull-out couch. A large storage area with closets including a place to lock up toys and accessories is right outside the door in an enclosed garage/storage unit. A privacy fence enclosing a large patio, picnic table, and gas grill complete the exterior of this darling abode.
A private dock and shore station allows the renters to keep a boat in safe storage during their stay. This dock is mere steps outside the slider door. Renters are liable for the security of their boat during their stay. A large, clean and sandy beach shared with two other rental units is right outside the Beach House doors. The swimming area is sandy bottomed and crystal clear. Beach House has a lengthy and gorgeous view of Elk Lake and sits directly across the lake from a pristine nature preserve teaming with fish and home to a family of loons. Municipal tennis and basketball courts are located directly across the street. Elk Rapids is a five minute drive away and is situated on the East Bay of Lake Michigan. This quaint town has great restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping as well as a family friendly atmosphere. Elk Lake is part of the gorgeous "chain of lakes" in Northern Michigan. You can easily access and enjoy over 100 miles of shoreline. Cruise around Elk Lake, Elk River, Lake Skegemog, Torch River, Torch Lake, Clam River, Clam Lake, Grass River, and Lake Bellaire. The natural setting and gorgeous scenery makes this a fun adventure! No boat? Rent!
Traverse City is a mere twenty minute drive and provides all the amenities of a big city with the flair of a small town. Unique and gourmet restaurants, a world renowned film festival, gorgeous beaches, a beautiful peninsula dotted with wineries, are among many things you can find here. A short drive from Elk Rapids you can discover the charm of Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, Leelenau, Glen Arbor, and Suttons Bay. This centrally located town is a perfect spot to settle in for a week's worth of relaxation.
Beach House comes with bedding: pillows, sheets, blankets, comforters for two beds, but we do not provide bath or beach towels.
