Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2002
I have been a residential realtor around the St Cloud area for the last 16 years. Prior to this I was a travel consultant and tour guide which enabled me to meet many people and travel the world. I have enjoyed using my "Casa Del Mar" lake home for entertaining and for just kicking back for an evening of relaxation and watching sunsets after a hard day of work. I hope to meet many new friends with this new venture in my life.
Why the Owner Chose St. Cloud
I thought it was a great idea to own a lake home just 15 minutes from my city home. I can drive out here anytime, be it for just an hour or overnight. I also liked the affordable smaller size and the potential for fixing it up to create a feel of the tropics with a European flair.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The location enables me to be close to many activities and local events around the St Cloud area. Fishing for pan fish and bass on this smaller lake is good and swimming in the clean water off the sandy beach is wonderful. And of course I can't forget the amazing sunsets!

My family and I spent the Christmas holiday at Casa Del Mar! One word describes our stay, FABULOUS! The home was perfect for our stay and after the kids went to bed, the view of the snow on the lake was so romantic! My husband has gone from the typical Southern sceptic to lover of all that is cold and white. Elaine was wonderful and made my family feel right at home. We had so much fun....can't wait to return to Casa Del Mar, for Christmas and it is definitely on the short list for our yearly anniversary trip! Thank you so much!

"Our 5 year old put it best, "This is a paradise!". So peaceful, private & relaxing. Just what we needed! Our son caught a fish with his hands and a net. We paddle boated, floated on the island, fished off the dock, had rainy family game night- packed a lot of much needed family bliss in to a few short days! We have beautiful memories! We will always remember our time here and your kindness! Thanks again for the anniversary cake, it made our trip even more special- and sweet!!"

"What a great week! Your house is beautiful! We ate at all the restaurants you suggested (as we don't cook when on vacation) & even went back to the Bay Club! Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Your information book was very helpful. Hope to come back & will recommend highly! Thanks for everything."

All went fantastic on our stay at Casa Del Mar. We really appreciated the attention to detail in the home. Pretty much everything we ever needed was there! We are so happy with the experience we had, we would love to book it for next year for a whole week------

Immaculate! A piece of solitude, clean and modestly priced--

The place was immaculate when I arrived. I especially like the preparation with the cupboards nicely apportioned with goods and dishes and silverware and all the cooking items I needed to enjoy the seclusion. The beds were comfortable, the decor a "little more pink, than rose" for a guy, but not overwhelming and the natural cool floors divine on the the bare feet. With the Caribbean culture matching the lake at the dock beckoning, it was easy to relax and lose yourself in time. My stay included a month when I was traveling on business to St. Cloud State University. Usually a trip like this would entail a miserable motel month, with noisy streams coming and going. Not me! Dare to be different. I put my boat in and left it for the month. Every evening the flotilla arrived ('poachers' I called them teasingly) to fish just left of the dock, the apparent fish hotspot in the lake. This is not walley-alley or Muskie street, but the pan fishing keeps you busy and happy. I want to return in the winter and do some ice fishing, and enjoy the quiet crunch of the lake and some ice house adventures. I will bring the kids for the ski area, just south of the cabin. If you want a piece of solitude, clean and modestly priced quarters, I suggest you give it a try!

Our family stayed at Casa Del Mar for a week in August, and it was wonderful! The home is very lovely - be sure to check out the "pre-renovation" photo album to see just how dramatically different the home is now. Casa Del Mar is a great alternative to a hotel - the lake is very nice and the view is great. It was really a nice way to spend a week away . . . we're already planning another stay, and we barely just left!
