Great house in an excellent location. Very cozy and sweet, beautifully decorated, all the things you need to have a wonderful time. So nice to be able to take our dogs and not have to worry about their safety and the whole beach to run and have fun. You will really enjoy this quiet and lovely home.
Owner response:Thank you Roger and Sharon for your kind words. We are so glad we could accomodate your two wonderful behaved dogs. We love having our doggie guests and hope that we get some photo's from you for our "Dog Wall of Fame". We are glad to offer a fully fenced and gated yard. Both Safety and fun for the dogs is what we strive for.

The house was wonderful. It was so clean and so well supplied with everything we needed. Our dog loved the fenced back yard. The location is great, we got up every morning and walked down to the beach. Not only was the house great but working with DeAnne was wonderful. She went out of her way to make this such an easy process. We will definitly be coming back!

Located in the quaint village of Pacific Beach the house and location could not have been more perfect.Well within driving range of the major attractions in the Olympic Peninsula this house is perfect for family's large and small. Seashell Cottage is very clean and much more spacious than the pictures show. Our party consisted of young adults (my kids) and old to the very old (me) and we all agreed that the experience far exceeded our expectations.
Owner response:We are glad it exceeded your expectations. Seashell has a great floorplan for a family. and makes good use of the square footage. Centrally located for our explorer guests, there is much to see and do on the Olympic Peninsula.

Thanks to DeAnne and Rich for sharing your lovely beach house! Weren't kidding when you said it was walking distance to the beach! Perfect getaway from the city if you just want to spend time on the beach or even to stay in and watch movies. We played on the beach with the dogs both days, 2 nights wasn't long enough! Perfect for our anniversary weekend!
Owner response:We think Seashell Beach Cottage is a great escape for an Anniversary celebration because it can be very cozy and romantic with our gas heated stove, view of the forrest and sound of the ocean surf from the master suite. Only a short jaunt from our home, it is easy to be romantic as you walk along the beach. The dogs also love the excercise.....and they sleep well.

We celebrated my daughter's 16th birthday here and everyone had a great time. The house is well equiped for all your needs. The gas fireplace keeps the whole house warm and cozy. We even saw a deer wandering through the forest in the backyard. A lovely place to visit (my friend wants to live there!) and perfect for a girlie getaway weekend. Thanks.
Owner response:Seashell is a happy. friendly place and thus a great place to celebrate a special birthday. Nature abounds in the forest in front and you will see deer and other creatures from our floor to ceiling windows in the livingroom.

My husband & I recently stayed at Seashell Beach Cottage and loved it! We've been to Pacific Beach many times before and love the town and the beach, so we were delighted to find a dog-friendly house to rent. The house is VERY clean and well-appointed throughout (including a hairdryer in the bath!). It's very close to the beach and short walk to town. Our daily routine included walking to town, stopping for a latte, then hitting the beach with the dogs and walking up the beach back to the house. The dogs loved the house and even though we cleaned them up before coming inside, it was nice that the house had hard flooring (no carpet) so we didn't have to worry about any accidental paw-prints. We have large dogs (95 & 65lbs) and the open floor plan of the house gave us enough room to move about while they were splayed out on the floor, tired from their beach romps. There is a bedroom & full bath on the main floor and another bedroom with ensuite full bath on the 2nd floor, giving plenty of privacy for guests. We had a fantastic time and loved Seashell Beach Cottage! The owners were a pleasure to deal with and we hope to return again soon!

We just enjoyed a truly relaxing weekend at Seashell Cottage and would highly recommend it as a wonderful place to stay on the North Coast. The house was immaculate and equipped with everything we needed from kite flying to BBQ'ing to movie watching. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful and we loved being such a short walk down to the ocean. Highly recommended!
Owner response:We strive to have a very clean, family friendly home to stay in.

The house is as wonderful as it looks and very conveniently located by the beach access. This portion of the beach is like a hidden gem. There are wide beaches and it has both car/beach access and areas that do not allow vehicles, which is great with kids and dogs. It's also not far to the Quinault Rain Forest, which is a nice day trip. It's a great setup for a family or a few couples. Definitely dog friendly, bowls, towels, sheets just for our furry family! Thanks for sharing your home with us!
Owner response:Location is key in that there are many lovely day trips to the Olympic Peninsula from our home.

This place is a magical little place for me. First impression upon entering is that I could hear the ocean but not really see it thru the stand of mature fir trees. It made me feel I was back at a summer home we had when I was growing up on Whidbey Island. It too, was in the fir trees yet we could sort of see the water thru them, as I could here. And it was a very comfortable home just as I felt at the summer home we went to growing up. Almost a sense of familiarity. I loved it. Cozy and casual, a must for me to be able to relax. Open the doors and hear the ocean roar. ahhh...love it. And I loved the decorating. Very welcoming, and great for families with younger kids. All the amenities were there for cooking, which is important to me. Easy easy access to the beach, another important factor for me. What a wonderful get away!! Thank you!
Owner response:We hope our guests create memories that last a lifetime.

What a GREAT time! The dog had a blast at the beach - as did the rest of us when the rain stopped blowing sideways. Clamming was great fun and the rewards were tasty! A very nice place - super spacious for the four of us...thinking we should have brought more people :D

We had the most relaxing stay at Seashell Cottage. The house is welcoming, simply but beautifully furnished, and so thoughtfully appointed to make a family vacation easy and memorable. Adults, children, and dogs cannot help but enjoy the woods and the wohderful beach a short distance away. The beach is great for walking, kite-flying, reading, wading, and resting. I hated to leave and look forward to another week at Seashell Cottage.

We had such a great time! I've only been home for 4 days and I'm already trying to make plans to go back! The house is gorgeous! The beach is breathtaking and it was so nice to be on the kind of vacation where you never need to look at a clock!!! The best part was being able to bring our dogs along with us to such a fun and beatiful place! We'll never forget it and will be saving our pennies until we're at the beach again!
Owner response:We are so dog friendly for responsible owners providing a clean, safe place to relax with our four legged friends.

We loved the Cottage!!!! It was spacious, well equipped and beautifully furnished. A wonderful retreat. The beach was incredible and at night the waves provided a peaceful background for a very restful night's sleep. Our two dogs loved spending their days romping through the water and taking long walks on the sandy beach. All memories my husband and I will always cherish. We are planning on going back very soon.

Four generations under one roof! We thoroughly enjoy our stay. The beach was easy access and a fun time was had by all. The home was cozy and comfortable to come back to after a long day of castle building.
