We just returned from a wonderful holiday at this beautiful home. Our family, 2 adults, and four children ages 5-10, thoroughly enjoyed the inside and outside spaces at this home. The views of the lake and surrounding hills from this home are truly amazing! The setting is very relaxing. The inside of the home is lovely--very roomy, bright, clean and nicely furnished. So many aspects we appreciated--lovely kitchen, sound system, wood burning stoves, books and activities--just to name a few. We also appreciated the location of the home. We enjoyed the restaurants, Saturday market and the lovely park in Mountshannon. We were also able to take several day trips to surrounding sights in Southwest Ireland. Prisca was so kind in providing recommendations for shopping, restaurants and activities. The welcoming supplies and treats were so kind and greatly enjoyed! I would highly recommend this property!

Owner response:Having traveled ourselves, we often wondered why rental properties are so cold and sterile, and so we set out to ensure ours would make the difference between a home from home and a holiday rental. It can be as simple as flexible duration of stay - no Saturday to Saturday rules here - just tell us what you want and we will try to meet your needs. Arrival essentials - no having to buy a months supply of oil and pepper. A treat if we are around -home made scones or a pie in the oven, and the stove lit on a chilly evening. Many adults appreciate a really good quality bed - we have invested in the best! We try hard to help holiday-makers feel at home and to meet their needs, and keep improving our product all the time so every year we learn and improve. We very much appreciate guests comments and feedback. The space allows larger families to be together comfortably, and many include extended family or friends for part or all of their stay. We love the idea of families lounging around, living and eating overlooking the lake and mountains. The facilities and barbeque comfortably allow catering for numbers, the garden of herbs and salads and potatoes adds a little extra dimension especially when children do the harvesting. A couple of fishing rods affords the opportunity to catch your dinner too! People love this property for its location - magnificent views and locality. It is ideal for short journeys to The Burren and The Cliffs of Moher; day trips to Galway and Connemara , as well as to Kerry. We collect and supply all the tourist leaflets available to help you plan your holiday. If you like a day or two unwinding, exploring on foot - The East Clare Way passes the door. The village with its lake shore and playgrounds, and boat trip to Holy Island - the oldest Monastic settlement in Ireland are a short walk away . There are nice places to eat and music in the local pubs - choose from the village hotel for traditional good food, relax in Cupan Cafe for high quality meals, or if you feel like tapas, salads or the best pizza around, try The Snug. Très belle maison et très bon acceuil

La location est une très belle maison très bien agencée située dans un endroit calme proche du village de MOUNTSHANNON. Dans le village, au bord du lac, on trouve tout ce qu'il faut pour le carburant, l alimentation et gouter les spécialités locales. La propriétaire est une personne charmante et très facile d'approche pour nous autres Français. La maison est très spacieuse et située dans un cadre de verdure. Un parking situé devant la maison permet de stationner plusieurs véhicules. Pour les motards, que je suis également, je recommande cette location qui bien que ne possédant pas de garage permet de mettre les motos en sécurité et à l’abri sous un préau. Pour résumer, vous pouvez y venir en toute tranquillité et vous repartirez ravis.

Even with rain, a stay in this house is something I will not forget. Big and nice house, the only thing is you need to get used to it to avoid getting lost! The oven was warm with complimentary homemade bakery when we arrived. The landlord is really friendly. To find the location of the house, just follow the indications using google street, they even came in this quiet area.

Hemos pasado unos dias maravillosos. A parte de la belleza del entorno y la belleza de la propia casa que se puede observar en las imagenes, la amabilidad y calidez de la propietaria son dificiles de describrir. No se puede pedir más. We had an exceptional time staying in your house in Ireland. The view from the living and dining areas was spectacular! It was wonderful to enjoy the view while having coffee outside in the morning or enjoying some wine in the evening. We love the location as it is perfectly situated for day trips to the famous tourist sites all over Western Ireland. After the day trips, it was nice to come back to the house and relax. The garden is a wonderful treat and the house has enough room for a family to be together watching movies or talking as well as for those to get away to read in quiet. While we have been to Ireland many times and rented houses in other areas, this was our favorite by far. We’ll be back!! The Nelsons Northeast Ohio, USA

We have stayed in this house in july 2009. It is ideally located. Anyone who wants to visit Ireland would find this a perfect place to stay as they visit other parts of the country : Galway, Connemara, Burren, Kerry. This house also offers the opportunity for a Stay-cation as you can walk daily around the area for good exercise, unforgettable scenery. Views of the lake are splendid. It is a warm, comfortable, relaxing, and serene house, completely equipped and marvelously decorated. The proximity from Shannon airport is also important. The owners are very accommodating and helpful.

Toute la famille a passé un séjour fantastique et reposant dans cette maison luxueuse et aux grands espaces, au beau milieu de la belle campagne typique irlandaise. Absolument parfait pour des randonnées, les pub, la musique irlandaise, ou se détendre tout simplement …! A noter que le panorama depuis la maison sur le lac est vraiment magnifique. A faire !

We had a lovely relaxing stay in your house. It was so refreshing to stay somewhere that exceeded its online description, it was so stylish and comfortable with extraordinary views of the lake and Irish countryside. It was just perfect, we will be back!

Wer einen traumhaften Urlaub inmitten einer wunderschönen Landschaft und mit einem unglaublichen Blick auf den See verbringen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Die Unterkunft ist sehr luxuriös und bietet sehr große, lichtdurchflutete Räumlichkeiten. Man kann direkt vom Haus aus loswandern und die irische Natur genießen. Ein echter Geheimtip für Erholungssuchende.

I have stayed in this wonderful house in the equally wonderful setting of Mountshannon. It has everything you would want in Luxury living ....it's modern, yet tranquil, convenient yet private, spacious yet manageable....this house has the lot and it's sense of style and location are peerless. A truly wonderful experience to be by the lake and away from it all. I will be going back there ...again and again and again Many thanks to our lovely hosts ...it truly is a lifetime experience John

Charming home, village, spectacular views and numerous places to take them in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The local area had lots of nice cafes, deli, pubs and the Lake is a major attraction for boating.....we saw the annual Gortnore Bell race with a birdseye view from the patio. Stunning.

Thank you so much for allowing us two weeks of great living in this wonderful home. Nothing could prepare us for the "awe" when we entered the main living area; this is the most wonderful home I have ever seen. The problem is - we didn't want to leave"
