Canal Waterfront on Layton Drive in South Bethany, Delaware. Close to Ocean City, Maryland. Lots of beach, shopping, restaurants all around. Beautiful 3BR 2BA cottage on a canal with dock. Florida Room, Grill, Wet Bar, Outside Shower, Woodstove & Firewood (fall/winter). A/C, W/D, DW, 2 TV/VCR, Cable, beach chairs. New bulkhead with dock. Enjoy the best of boating and the beach. Tax-free shopping in Delaware. Extensive outlet malls close by. York Beach Mall with a Grotto Pizza, a bait & tackle & a gourmet food shop is a short walk away, and a McDonalds & small food market & Dollar General are within walking distance. Lots of area golf courses. Sailboat rental nearby. Excellent restaurants.
This great house on the water and you can bring your boat (or rent one) and enjoy beautiful sunset cruises, or quiet excursions into the national wildlife park for viewings of eagles, blue heron, etc. You can catch crabs and small fish right off the dock & enjoy family fun in the large fenced in yard (a license may be required for adults).
The home is located south of Rehoboth Beach, DE and just north of Fenwick Island & Ocean City, MD. This general area offers tax-free outlet shopping, water sports, mini golf, championship golf, fine dining, boardwalks, etc. all within walking distance to a half hour or less drive from the cottage.
In 5 minutes you can walk or ride your bike to South Bethany’s clean, life guarded beaches. A short walk up the beach takes you past the Sea Colony high-rise to the Bethany Beach boardwalk. When you get back from the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower. Kids will love angling for crabs or small fish from the boat dock.
Do you play tennis? Then suit up and take the 10-minute stroll over to the 4 private courts nestled in the trees near the town hall. As our guest, your are entitled to the use of these private courts. In the evening, take your boat out to the bay for spectacular sunset views; or fire up the barbecue and relax and enjoy the serenity of the canal at sunset.
