My cousin was to be married in Tilden Park August 20th 2011 and I needed the minimum of a three bedroom rental to use as a one week home base for two adults and two teenagers. This same cousin sent me listings of several VRBO homes in the area and Alan's home met our criteria. Due to our busy schedules Alan and I spoke several times before our arrival. He made sure the contract was to our liking, offered references and even sent a list of "must see" places to go during our stay. Upon our arrival, Alan's trusty right hand caretaker Tai, picked us up at the train stop and took us to the house while along the way pointing out places to eat and the local movie theaters. Alan's wife's family is from Burma and the landscaping of the grounds and interior of the home lend themselves to this style of decoration. The exterior is very peaceful and is a great place for coffee in the AM and coming back to after a full day in the PM. We really enjoyed the park down the block, convenient parking, great restaurants nearby and an overall good vibe.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.
