Located on a quiet dead end street lined with million dollar homes, this is a high-end waterfront home that has that lake house feel yet has all of the modern amenities. From the moment you enter, you see the lake and most rooms have a water view. The house faces west/northwest for fantastic sunsets which you can enjoy from the kitchen, dining room, fireplaced living room, master suite, or dock.
With both a living room and a den as well as lots of outdoor space - including a 130' dock that makes you feel like you are sitting in the middle of the lake - this house has plenty of room to have fun and relax. The house has great infrastructure as it has whole house a/c, an oversized heater for cold winter nights, a nice kitchen with dual gas ovens, a recently renovated master suite with walk-in tile shower, and endless hot water from the Rinnai tankless water heater. If you are like me, you won't want to leave at the end of the week!
This property is in the heart of it all. Want to swim, boat, windsurf, or just float - walk out the dock and jump in, the water is incredibly clean. Want to go to Weirs Beach for the arcades, Bike Week, or to hit the bars - it is right across the bay, you can even walk there if you want to. Want to check out a concert at Meadowbrook - a 5 minute drive. Want to swing by the grocery store or WalMart - again, just a 5 minute drive. Want to go skiing or hiking at Gunstock - a short 15 minute ride. Ditto for shopping and dining in Meredith. Feel like hiking in the White Mountains, playing in the Kangamangus River, or shopping in North Conway - all are an easy day trip. You want it - we got it.
It is the ideal blend of modern amenities, tasteful decoration, and cabin feel. Nice enough to entertain. Low key enough to tromp around in your bathing suit and bare feet. Great, relaxing, comfortable home that couldn't be better located for vacationers.

Year Purchased: 2001
Three siblings and all the kids share this gem of a house. There is nothing like a week at "the lake house" to take away all of your cares and worries. We spend more time together here than we do at home - even though we only live 30 mintues away from each other. We have homes in the city in Boston and in the seaside communities of Marblehead and Swampscott, yet we escape to the lake house every chance we get.
