If you have gotten this far, you have most likely decided on Hilton Head, Shipyard, and especially Beachwalk! Our villa is truly a home away from home, and some guests have said it is even better! This villa is perfect for honeymooners or couples looking for a cozy affordable getaway.
184’s best features are the location and price. Most importantly, we are just a 5 minute walk to the beach! Plus being an end unit, the villa has extra windows and opens onto the wrap around deck through sliding glass doors to a beautiful view of a wooded area with a gazebo. And even better, our rates are lower than most Shipyard villas just because we want you as our guest.
The villa is inviting and pleasing from the moment you walk in the front door. Recent extensive renovations include updated bathrooms and all kitchen appliances, 18 inch porcelain tile flooring and custom soothing earth tones painted throughout. An eclectic collection of beach and ocean artwork enhances the villa giving a stylish ocean ambiance.
The living room has both tasteful and comfortable furniture in comforting cranberry and gold tones with sea themed patterns. The couch is a queen sized sleeper sofa, and there is a big stuffed chair with a floor lamp and table (my favorite place for morning coffee and paper). Plus, at my husband’s insistence, the chic gold upholstered chair is actually a recliner that your husband might never leave! (which, by the way, is pointing at the new 32” flat screen TV, not shown in these pictures!) DSL hookup is also in this area.
There is also a DVD/VCR and a CD player in the living room, and the built in bookcase has acquired an interesting collection of books shared by previous guests and left behind for you to enjoy.
The bright and spacious kitchen has 2 skylights that let in lots of natural light. Whether you are a chef or just a cook, you can turn out great meals in this kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked with all new Whirlpool appliances (even a smooth top stove!). Plus all the cookware and utensils you need are here, for a simple breakfast or an elaborate gourmet dinner. The breakfast table is suitable for two to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee or simple snack. Make sure to cook up some local shrimp!
The dining area has floor to ceiling windows overlooking a common area with a table and seating for four.
The bedroom has its own bathroom with tub and shower, two closets (one is a walk in), a king sized bed, TV and a cozy corner sitting area which is another great spot for a leisure read.
The second full bathroom makes this villa great for two people or a couple so each have their own “space”. Also, a new Whirlpool washer and dryer are in the utility closet.
We always stop by the pool on our way home back to the beach - it's only 1 minute from the villa and is quite peaceful.
Last but not least, our favorite feature of 184 is the spacious wrap around deck that gets both sun and shade throughout the day, and has a nice sized table and chairs for afternoon cocktails or outdoor dining.

Why the Owner Chose Beach Walk
When hurricanes threatened Florida in September of 2004 we extended our stay in Hilton Head. We have been vacationing on Hilton Head in Shipyard since the late 80's and had often thought of purchasing a vacation property. It was a fortuitous time. The realtor showed us a few places we did not care for. Then she said a customer of hers had a Beachwalk unit he was thinking of selling. It was not even on the market. We looked at 184 Beachwalk and knew that was the place for us. It all worked out. We remodeled the villa and now get to share it with other people who love Hilton Head and all it has to offer.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
My husband and I get to come to Beachwalk in September every year. It is a quiet month and the weather is wonderful. We try to rest and relax but it is hard with so many things to do. I love bike riding because it is easy and flat. We usually have family or friends visit and the men will go golfing. Of course beach and pool time are a must. Mostly I love being able to linger over coffee in the morning without having to leave for work! Our time at Beachwalk is always a rejuvenating experience.
The airport is only 4 miles from Shipyard, south on 278 and left into Shipyard Plantation. Easy!

I grew up on the Jersey Shore and have always needed to be near the ocean. My husband grew up in Delaware county Pa. and we lived there for nearly 20 years. We love islands and would vacation every year to Hilton Head and Sanibel Island. We were on vacation once in the US Virgin Islands and wanted to buy a rental property. A bartender told us we just needed to move here. In the morning it was still a good idea. In 2002 we moved to St. John where we reside full time while trying to balance work and play. Now 184 Beachwalk has become our stateside home away from home.
