Experience our custom built, beautifully furnished luxury timber frame home nestled among towering pines and beautiful birch trees on Big Trout Lake, the gem of the Whitefish Chain. Spacious interior (5160 square feet) includes 3 bedrooms, loft with day beds, office, 4 bathrooms, gourmet kitchen, large dining area, 3 stone fireplaces, vaulted & beamed ceilings. A deck stretches across the lake side of the home, perfect for enjoying the sunset or lake views. Master bedroom has its own private deck as well. The gourmet kitchen with granite island and bar stools create a great family gathering area.
Full walk-out lower level with access to lake has its own wet bar with lake views, stone fireplace, foosball table and large seating area for family gatherings.
There is a beautiful timber frame guest cabin on the property with full kitchen, living area, fireplace, upstairs bedroom, separate built in single beds in a vaulted ceilinged loft area, bathroom and washer & dryer.
Access to the lake is via a charming stone and concrete stairway. The crystal clear water is only 4.5 feet deep at the end of the dock. Rock bass, sunfish and perch wait patiently for young fisherman near the dock. A covered boat lift and jet-ski lift are available for use.

Our immediate family (parents, three sons with wives, and four grandchildren) have been spending a week in summer in nicer rental homes for the last 6 years, from Maui to California to New York to North Carolina. This year's stay in Crosslake ranked at the top. The complex was beautiful, well built, clean, and stocked with all the amenities to get our holiday going from the moment we walked in. The arrangements made with the owner were straightforward and honest; the easiest and best rental arranging ever. Getting this far north turned out to be temperature perfect---We're from FL and wanting to escape the summer heat and humidity. And there were no bugs, another giant bonus. No question we would highly recommend this property.

The home was accurately and fairly described and pictured. Our experience here was at least as pleasing as promised in the presentation.Owners were fair, honest and helpful. Though neighbors are not far away, thick woods give a sense of privacy and seclusion. The water was clear, perfect for swimming and splashing by the hour. Vistas from the deck at every hour are lovely and calming. The town of Crosslake has more stores and services than we first thought; you have to look a little. We were three generations, at times 15 of us and it all worked smoothly.In all, this was a gem for us..
