The 6000 square foot home is spacious yet oh so comfortable and relaxing, The three levels of large covered decks provide you with ample opportunity to find a quiet place and just take in the tranquility and enjoy the unbelievable views, not to mention a chuckle or two as you watch fellow golfers struggle in the same sand trap you encountered a couple of hours prior. Master bedroom has wrap around shower and large jet tub for soothing tied muscles after your round of golf. Elegance and comfort are a perfect blend in this featured “Parade of Homes” participant. It is located on the 20th hole and overlooks the 19th, 20th, and 21st holes.

“Paa-Ko Ridge Golf Club is ranked as the third best public golf course in the United States, according to a newly released Readers’ Choice Poll by subscribers of Golf World magazine, a Golf Digest publication”.

“In August, Paa-Ko Ridge Golf Club was ranked No. 28 on Golf magazine’s 2008 list of the “Top 100 Courses you can Play,” moving up two spots from its 2006 ranking. Paa-Ko Ridge also is one of just 17 golf courses to be rated at five stars by the Golf Digest/Fodor’s “Best Places to Play” guide. Paa-Ko Ridge was rated by the 2008 Zagat Survey as “Extraordinary,” the only course in the Southwest to receive that highest-possible rating.”

The golf course itself features panoramic views that are seldom matched anywhere in the world to get an idea of the splendor of this course. Each window of this home has a view of the plush course. Amenities are too numerous to mention but sampling would include a home theatre equipped with Bose audio, granite/marble throughout, outdoor Viking BBQ/outdoor refrigerator on the 2nd level deck, three hole putting green on site, exercise room with Olympic bench and full dumbbell rack & Schwinn air dyne bike, large garage with room for the largest of RV’s, and recreation room with beautiful pool table, WiFi connection and Satellite TV (DirecTV) on all three floors. This home provides the ultimate in golfing vacations with world class 27 hole course but equally enjoyable will be the sunrise vista’s overlooking the Ortiz Mountains to the East and the amazing sunsets (see promotional photo) as the sun drops below the Sandia (watermelon in Spanish) mountains to the west.

Should you choose to visit the Land of Enchantment in the winter you will be delighted at the quality snow skiing available. Sandia Ski Area is within sight of our back porch and is but a short 20-minute drive to the 1st lift. Santa Fe Ski Area is @ 1.5 hour, Los Alamos/Pajarito 2.0 hours and world class Taos is 3.0-hour drive away. With lifts opening at 9:00, all of these areas are worth the effort for a day trip. Taos is an amazing mountain for the accomplished skier. On a personal note I’ve skied through out the west and enjoy this mountain more than any other, it is fantastic. This luxury golf home easily converts to a hub for skiing adventure as you return each night to the remote control fireplace and thick carpet to warm you up.

Year round attractions for friends and family who might want to venture out for some other entertainment have many options. A drive to the top of the crest (10,700 feet), which overlooks the entire city of Albuquerque with literally 70 mile, views in all directions. The ride up the longest tram in the world takes you up to the same crest but from the city side. Dining at the High Finance restaurant while watching the sunset is a memory not soon forgotten. You may be fortunate enough to watch as daring hang gliders step off the shear face of the mountain and glide for hours toward the valley. The Old Town plaza, which dates back to 1640, is a wonderful place to shop for southwestern jewelry and all types for interesting cultural items. If you choose to come stay around

Around Christmas be sure to go on the luminaria as it is a site to see! These decorations are a small factor that plays into the beautiful picture that is set in the Old Town Plaza. The Old Town area is home to many art galleries and museums for your enjoyment.

Sorry but we only rent to families and do not allow parties or commercial activity of any type on the property. This includes weddings, birthdays, corporate, drinking or any group gathering of any sort that involves more people gathering than who is registered to stay on the property. Paa-ko Ridge is a quiet and peaceful place to live and visit so let's keep it that way. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!

Great Home!

The home is outstanding in design and execution. Its location on the 20th hole is private and beautiful, with extensive decks that provide lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. The kitchen is well-equipped and can handle almost any chef's needs. Beds are comfortable and extra beds available if needed. Jim is very responsive to any problems that might occur. The golf course is scenic, challenging and was in great shape. Course personnel were personable and helpful. In short, it's a great place for a golfing get-away trip!

What can I add?

I am searching for something to say that hasn't been said in the above reviews, all of which I agree with wholeheartedly. The house is stunning, so light, airy and spacious with every amenity one could want for a family vacation. Every window has an amazing view, bedrooms and living area comfortable and attractively furnished and it was a joy to cater for ourselves in the beautifully equipped kitchen. That said we also highly recommend Greenside Cafe where we enjoyed a warm welcome, very good service and excellent food. We were there for skiing and the house is ideally placed for the slopes at Sandia Peak. Thank you Jim, everything was as stated on the website and we hope to return sometime to enjoy the golf and those beautiful balconies.

WOW! WOW! WOW!

That's the reaction that most of us had just driving up the driveway to this beautiful home. The guys played golf at Paa-ko Ridge one day, we hit the casinos, made it to the Balloon Fiesta, and still had time to thoroughly enjoy the beauty of this home. We not only cooked some of our meals, but we ventured into Cedar Crest and had delicious food at any of the restaurants. The view from any of the three patios is breathtaking - we had a couple of storms that moved in and those were beautiful also. I will definitely put it on my list is a re-visit!

Owner response:Judy, thanks for the great review! October has so much to offer to those visiting New Mexico. Go to the Balloon Fiesta in the early morning, take a little nap and play a round on one of the best golf courses in the country that afternoon. I heard the storms that passed through were incredible and put on quite a show. I bet your glad our patio decks are covered to be able to watch it go by. Hope you got a chance to visit the Mine Shaft in Madrid and listen to the house band. It is the first time I have ever listened to a band that plays the washtub! Hope to see you and your group again soon. Jim

Where do I start? "Wow!, Awesome!, Beautiful!", were few of the first words out of our mouths. Based on the pictures we knew we were coming to a nice house but as we entered we knew we were really going to enjoy this house. The first things we noticed was how spacious and tastefully decorated it was. We were like kids in an adventure land, checking out all the rooms and amenities. All the rooms are spacious and clean. There's an entertainment room, with a giant video screen and a pool table. Walking out onto the huge 2nd floor balcony and looking out at the golf course, I felt previleged. We never got to use the putting green... what a shame. After our round of golf, it was either go out to eat or eat in. With steak and a glass of wine our foursome enjoyed our meal on the balcony on a beautiful summer night. Can't get any better than this. Without a lot of light pollution I saw plenty of shooting stars. We definitely have to come back to this place. Oh, and playing golf at beautiful Paa-Ko Ridge was nice, too. The only negative... our high scores. Jim, thank you for allowing us to enjoy your house.

Owner response:Tom, wow is right! What a great response. We try to do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It is very difficult to capture 6000 sq ft in a few photos and that is why these comments are so important to share with others. Work on your golf game and we hope to see you again sometime with a lower score! Jim

What a Blessing to find such a nice, comfortable place to spend a couple of day with our kids and grandkids. The house is absolutely magnificent, views even more magnificent and if you like golf - don't miss playing Paako Golf Course in NM. The owners go out of their way to make it comfortable and homey. We'll go back someday - Lord Willing! Thanks so much!

Owner response:Mark & Karyn, thanks so much for sending in a guest comment. It only takes a few moments but it really helps others decide on which are the best houses to stay at. Best wishes and we hope we will see you again. Jim

WOW!!!! Unbelievable home on one of the best golf courses I have ever played. Everything you need in the home for your stay. Awsome putting green, pool table and theater make for extra fun after playing this grueling golf course. Views from this house a spectaclure in all directions. This is a one of a kind vacation home, you won't be disappointed with. Go for it!

Owner response:Mark, thanks so much for the praise! As you know your golfing group was our first official VRBO booking and for that we "Thank You". We have gone to great lengths to insure everything a family or group needs is in the home as well as some activities to keep the group entertained and playing together when your not playing golf, skiing, hiking or exploring some part of the local mountain areas. We hope to see you again next time your group comes to New Mexico! Best wishes, Jim
