Welcome to Writer’s Retreat in Yosemite West, California.
*** The UPPER UNIT of Writer’s Retreat is a DUPLEX HOUSE with three bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with a double bed, and one with twin beds. The bathroom has a tub and shower. The spacious living room has comfortable sofas and chairs and a beautiful pine cathedral ceiling. You'll enjoy satellite television, and using the DVD/VHS player. The large dining room has table and chairs for six people open to the living room, kitchen, and deck. You'll enjoy the large wrap-around deck with chairs and table for outdoor dining.
*** The LOWER UNIT (APARTMENT) of Writer’s Retreat has two rooms: a bedroom with a queen bed and a second room with a new queen-size sofa sleeper and a full kitchen, satellite television, and DVD/VHS player. There is a bathroom with shower. The wide deck has chairs.
*** OUTSIDE
Writer's Retreat is located in a forest setting of magnificent pines and fir trees. It's wonderful to view the stars from the decks after dark. Off-street parking.

Discover Writer’s Retreat in Yosemite West, a private residential community adjoining Yosemite National Park at an elevation of 5,300 feet. Yosemite West is in the southern area of Yosemite National Park, off Wawona Road, a continuation of State Route 41. It is one mile south of the Chiquapin intersection of Wawona Road with the Glacier Point Road.

Welcome to Writer's Retreat in Yosemite West! Imagine yourself sitting on the deck at sunset. Gilding the highest branches on the hilly slope to the West, the glowing sun glides behind Yosemite’s majestic peaks and transforms the forest to yellow-gold. I feel the still air cooling and hear distinct bird calls penetrating the stillness. Fir and pine needles float across the redwood deck in the breeze. Darkness envelops the deep forest. Fluttering wings of an unseen bird awaken me from my reverie. I pause as the day ends in the forest, and then go inside, turn on the lights, and prepare dinner for my family. Soon they will return from their hike to the top of Half Dome.
