Holden Beach is a gem that offers its visitors the slow pace of a secluded island. Long afternoons await sunbathers, readers, explorers, and fishing. A short drive over the island’s trademark curved bridge delivers you to the mainland with waterslides, go carts, restaurants, shopping, and miniature golf. Golf courses and driving ranges are nearby and Myrtle Beach awaits those looking for more activity.
Our home is located on Ocean Boulevard, the main road running parallel to the ocean. Cross Ocean Boulevard and a few steps bring you to the beach. We are a few blocks from an ocean pier that offers fishing and sight seeing or rent a surf board as under the pier is a favorite for catching waves. Also nearby by foot is a small convenience store and ice cream store on the beach. The island offers restaurants that prepare the local seafood catch of the day as you watch the fishing boats dock in the intercoastal waterway.
Our home sits on a canal which can be viewed anywhere from the rear of the house including the kitchen. Enjoy our large private outside shower to wash off the sand before preparing for a night out or staying in with full kitchen for home cooked meals.
We offer local phone and wireless high speed internet for those who wish to stay connected. We are equipped with cable television in three bedrooms along with DVD and VCR players. We offer a variety of games and puzzles for your enjoyment.

Year Purchased: 2003
My wife and I found Holden Beach to be the perfect place for family vacations with our 4 children. We drive 9 hours to spend a few weeks here each summer, and every spring to personally prepare the home for the coming season. Our children have grown up on this island during our brief stays. They love to go out for ice cream, spend long days on the beach, build sand castles, and rent surf boards.
Why the Owner Chose Holden Beach
The beaches of Holden Beach offer seclusion over more crowded beaches of the north east. There is a family atmosphere here and it is ok to curl up with a good book, play a board game, or work on a puzzle with family. We like that the island has kept from becoming over commercialized. The restaurants are quaint and offer excellent meals and wonderful views. Families can share a walk on the pier, or share a game of miniature golf and finish the evening with ice cream all at a reasonable price.

Our home offers great amenities at an affordable rate when compared to ocean front properties while only being a few additional steps to the ocean. We have strong relationships with our housekeeper, gardener, and maintenance to make your stay comfortable. We take pride in offering a well kept and maintained clean house. We personally make updates each year for your comfort and enjoyment. This year we updated our living room. Our canal views are exceptional especially in the morning and at sunset!

The decription listed was dead on it. Everything was exactly as shown. Tom was exrememly helpful. We had a wonderful time. The home is centrally located , close to everything. Beach access was directly across the street. The public pier was withing walking distance. We had 13 people and had more than enough room. One of the bedrooms upstairs had double bed adn full with twin over top and pleasenty of room for an air mattress. We fished every day at the canal in the back yard. Some days we even caught enough to grill for supper. It was just an all around awesome home & the best vacation ever. Thank you

Thanks so much for allowing us to share in your home!!! We had a wonderful time! The home felt so comfortable and roomy...at one point, we had 7 adults and 2 children and we never felt cramped at all! The huge sofa sat us all comfortably and the bedrooms were all so spacious! The inside and outside were very well kept and clean. The walk to the beach was convenient and easy (even with little ones)! The views of the ocean and canal were wonderful and it was so nice to sit on both the porch and deck and relax after a long day in the sun! The owner was so helpful... he answered all my questions. We headed up to the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher one day and our daughter loved it! It was a nice experience...highly recommend it!! Also, you have to eat at Paradise Cafe...it is our favorite place! They have great food and great margaritas...we hit it everytime we go! Holden Beach a wonderful place for a family getaway!!

Thanks for a terrific three days in Holden Beach. The house was more than adequate for our family of four. Two families would easily be comfortable here. The location is great~ A short walk to the beach and the all-important Haley's ice cream shop!! The house was very clean and all the furnishings new and comfortable! Lastly, Tom was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with!

This is a very roomy, bright, clean house. We had a total of 8 adults, one teenager, two children and one infant. Even with that many people we never felt crowded. House is extrememly well kept, nicely decorated, nice features such as a television in every bedroom, great front porch etc. I would definitely rent this house again. It may be second row but a couple of clear views of the ocean made it feel like it was oceanfront. Plus the great canal directly behind the house made the kitchen very pleasant to work in. Holden Beach is a wonderful beach for families and we enjoyed our stay there!

My family had a great week in this Holden Beach House, it had lots of space and was a short walk to the beach. The house was clean and well maintained. We have visited a lot of areas but Holden Beach was our favorite so far and I am sure we will return next year. Local shops will deliver bikes to your house and pick them up for you, There is a wide sidewalk that runs the length of the island perfect for running, riding bikes or a slow pace relaxing walk, Some of the places we enjoyed while on the island were, Magic Mountain Slide, Fantasy Isle Ice Cream and if you want to take a nice walk on the beach Haleys Ice Cream near the pier is a great stop and enjoy your ice cream while walking on the beach. We ate at at Provision Company Restaurant when you pull in it doesnt look like much but when you see all the people waiting you know it must be good and it was. We had a table with a view of the water and I loved the Shrimp burger. If you arrive on Saturday and want to attend church we attended Holden Beach Chapel, it was a little more conservative than our church but it was very nice and the people were very friendly and made us feel welcome. This a very family oriented beach a perfect place to relax and refresh yourself. We highly recommend this house for your next vacation!
