This beautiful home is what vacation living is all about. Extremely comfortable home has ocean views from the living, kitchen, dining, one bedroom, the outdoor bedroom and both decks. It is filled with original artwork, unique furniture, and a baby grand piano in the living room. You can barbecue on the upper deck, relax on your chaise under the umbrella, or take a nap on the lower deck in the hanging bed in the shade of the bamboo. Your showers will never seem the same after your hot outdoor shower with ocean view. Hot tubs are fun in the cool of the evening or after a walk to the beach. You and your family will enjoy the ping-pong table, foos ball, and basketball hoop all set up. For the beach you have a selection of boogey boards and wetsuits. Coolers, beach towels, umbrella, beach bags are all provided for your convenience.
The neighborhood is "Old Rio Del Mar" where every home is unique and neighbors walk their dogs and stop to talk. You can walk down the street to Rio Del Mar Beach, Seacliff State Beach where the "Cement Ship" is located or take the beach path to the south and walk to Seascape Beach. Capitola Village, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and shopping are short drives away. For golf lovers, head to Seascape right down the road or drive a half hour to the famed Pebble Beach golf courses. Monterey and Carmel are within easy reach as well. Save some time to walk to the local restaurants right down the street and don't miss the farmers market at Cabrillo College on Saturday mornings. Your dog will love the fully enclosed yards, and if the timing is right, you may be able to pick your own tomatoes from the back garden. Why the Owner Chose Aptos
I wanted to live by the ocean, never dreaming that I would live right above the ocean. I can ride my mountain bike to Nisene Marks from my house, ride my road bike either north or south on some of the most beautiful roads in the country, right from my house. It is nice and quiet, with the noise of the waves always in the background. I am always appreciative of the views and never get tired of looking out at the ever changing seascape.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Awaking at dawn to the sound of the waves, getting an early morning walk in on the beach at low tide and finding more sand dollars. Getting to walk to Aptos Village for the "World's Shortest Parade" on 4th of July, walking to Aptos Park for the Santa Cruz Blues Festival. You can really do almost anything you want here or nothing at all...just watch the dolphins play in the waves and wave at the surfers.

I lived in this beautiful home for the past eleven years but have recently retired and moved to a house in Santa Cruz in order to figure out where I want to live when I grow up! My beach house still contains my original artworks, my piano and my beloved ping pong table. Prior to this year, I lived here in Rio Del Mar. My kids were raised in this house and they loved being able to walk to the beach, grab a soda at the corner deli, come home to a hot outdoor shower and hot tub. I travel widely and have seen some very beautiful places and am convinced that this area is one of the most tranquil and amazing. My school year renter believes this house has healing and creative powers and I agree!

This house was very special and the owner was extremely accomodating. This was the first time we had rented a house and we were so impressed. This was our son's wedding weekend and it was great to all stay together instead of staying in various hotel rooms. Very relaxing. The parking was great - enough for 6 cars off the street. We enjoyed everything about it and the swinging bed was a big hit. We did'nt stay long enough to enjoy all that was offered but we had a wonderful time - a perfect location, beautiful touches throughout the house. Gorgeous deck with a beautiful view of the ocean and dolphins. We will always remember this weekend.
