We (4 adults, 2 children) were welcomed to this wonderful beach house by a great hawaiian welcome basket that included snacks, coffee & much more which was great pick-me-up following long flights from Miami, FL & San Francisco. The house was well equipped in the kitchen & had everything we needed. I was glad that we stopped by the house before going to the grocery store because a lot of the items I normally purchase for a vacation rental was actually provided such as: laundry soap, dryer sheets, bar soap, dishwasher detergent, dishwashing liquid, hand soap, trash bags, paper towels, spices, vegetable oil & much more! The bedrooms were spacious w/comfortable beds. The place also had beach toys, 5 boogie boards, beach chairs & beach/pool towels and a BBQ grill outside. I also noticed some baby equipment (high chair, pack-n-play & walker) that could be useful for families with babies. My children (ages 5 & 6) enjoyed the pool w/hot tub every afternoon after spending the morning at the beach. While I had some concerns about the house not having air conditioning, we quickly learned that it was not at all needed during our stay in December. The trade winds & accompanying rain was in full force in December so we headed to the Ko 'Olina Lagoons and Waikiki beach when the weather didn't cooperate. The beautiful Kailua Beach was only a 5 min walk away through a private/obscure path. We woke up a few mornings and walked on the beach for a relaxing sunrise. The listing description was accurate, property well maintained & clean. The owner, Lynette was very responsive & helpful to everything we needed. Overall, what a great home! Would definitely recommend this property to extended families. We hope to return someday.

This property is beautiful! My best friends and I enjoyed a relaxing and worry free stay during our reunion trip. Enjoyed morning walks on Kailua beach ( just a 2 min. walk from the house ) and close enough to Kailua town to have breakfast at Cinnamon's everyday. The home was very comfortable with a great kitchen and the pool was great to relax in at all hours. Mahalo Lynette for the unforgetable stay!

Stayed 3 nights in early April 2011 - group of six. House was a welcome relief after staying on a cruise ship for 1 week. Used the swimming pool everyday. Excellent location, 5 minute walk to the beach. The house has all you need for your beach visit - boogie boards, law chairs, etc. Local Safeway a 10 minute drive for groceries and liquor if you want to cook on your vacation.

We had a wonderful vacation at Hale Ohana and would not hesitate to return and recommend the property to anyone considering the rental. This was our second trip to Kailua and we enjoyed the vacation immensely. Peter took very good care of us when we needed some propane for the BBQ and left us alone to enjoy our stay.The home was well equipped and was a wonderful getaway after shopping and touring Waikiki. It was a pleasure dealing with the owners, and the rental agents were most professional. We were only saddened when we had to leave and come back to the cold...maybe next year!!
