Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2000

Dale and Dan Lorber have owned a house in Bisbee since 2000. They live in Bisbee most winters and spend the summers in upstate New York, where they own a used and rare bookstore. The house was completely renovated in 2007 with all new plumbing, electrical, appliances, furniture, floors and carpet, etc.

Why the Owner Chose Bisbee

Bisbee is one of the most unique towns in the US, as you will see if you visit here. An old mining town, it has retained it's old west flavor without compromising its old west charm and not bowing to the usual tourist pressures to produce just another tourist trap. The setting in the Mule Mountains is lovely and the surrounding area is filled with stunning western views and landscapes.

The Unique Benefits of this House

Having a walk-around town is a plus. A car is not mandatory. We walk and hike there every day. We will be happy to share our favorite walks around town as well as a wonderful hike right out the back door which offers wonderful views down to Bisbee far below, into Mexico, New Mexico and the surrounding Mule Mountains.
