Year Purchased: 2001
My husband and I are from the UK but when we lived in Manhattan for a number of years we discovered the Hamptons and in particular Sag Harbor with its old fashioned charm. We decided to buy a house there when we had children because of the many activities for them and us. We have all loved it and have spent so much time on the many beaches in the surrounding area. The sag harbor bay beaches are ideal for young families and for the more adventurous the house provides passes to the beaches up at Georgica. Sadly we now live in England but travel back about 3 times a year to spend holidays in our special house.
Why the Owner Chose Sag Harbor
My husband and I decided to buy our fabulous house next to Sag Harbor because of the huge number of activities for both children and adults alike. Sag Harbor is a picturesque town in the heart of the Hamptons with magical restaurants and lots of shops. The house is also close to the glamorous towns of, Bridgehampton and East Hampton. There are many beaches within a short drive.

The property has just been newly renovated with a state of the art kitchen from Allmilmo, Subzero fridge, Mieile double oven, Franke hot water tap and two washer driers. The great room has double height ceilings with double sided fireplace. The six bedrooms are airy and light, 4 have ensuites and two bedrooms share bathrooms .There is a pool and tennis court with adjacent pool house This comes with a well equipped kitchen for those poolside barbeques. The house is a compound in itself but has the added benefit of being in the heart of the Hamptons within a 2 minute drive to sag harbor and about a 5 minute drive to Bridge Hampton and East Hampton. The house comes with car and beach passes. It has recently been featured in parents magazine.
